The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is beloved by many fans. Tom Holland has done a great job of making Peter Parker feel relatable, funny and lovable. However, what fans don’t know is that there are some truly terrifying variants of Spider-Man across the multiverse. These versions will make your skin crawl (pun intended). Now that Spider-Man has been renewed for another trilogy, the MCU could experiment with these evil beings. Here are 6 evil versions of Spider-Man that the MCU can explore.

1. Superior Spider-Man

This version isn’t as evil as some of the others but still doesn’t count as a hero. When Spider-Man visited a dying Doc Ock, Octavius managed to swap his and Peter’s consciousness. This allowed Doc to take complete control over Spider-Man’s body and life. He decided to take up the mantle of Spider-Man. However, his methods were violent and extremely unlike the friendly neighborhood version of him. Nonetheless, Doc Ock realised the issue with his askew path of justice. He returned Spider-Man’s body and sacrificed himself. Marvel has already introduced Otto Octavius into the MCU through No Way Home. Thus, this storyline would not be tough to implement and would even provide some sort of continuity to No Way Home.

2. Pestilence

Spider-Man was recruited by none other than the big bad mutant God Apocalypse. He was one of the four Horsemen who would help Apocalypse reach his goal of world domination by spreading death, disease and famine. Pestilence was essentially a mutated Spider-Man with almost all the same powers but enhanced and augmented by Apocalypse. Marvel already has plans of introducing mutants and the X-Men into the MCU. Kevin Feige is attempting to get Dwayne Johnson on board to play apocalypse. This would be the perfect opportunity to bring in Pestilence while sticking to the current plans.

3. Timespinner

Kang The Conqueror has been introduced in the MCU through Loki and is l=most likely set to appear in Ant-Man: Quantumania as well. Moreover, with Avengers: Kang Dynasty being the upcoming Avengers movie in phase 5, its the perfect time to bring in this evil version of Spider-Man. Timespinner aka Spider-Man robot was created by Kang himself to destroy the Avengers. He has been given his own spider sense and many other abilities by Kang so as to defeat the Avengers. But, unfortunately, Timespinner was unsuccessful in his efforts and was thwarted by the real Spider-Man.

 4. The Spider

This version was an absolute sociopath who was a mass murderer. He was a sadist who liked hurting people. This sicko apparently even had a sense of humor. You know he’s evil when he’s got 67 life imprisonment sentences. This Spider-Man had basically merged with the symbiote Carnage, making him even more dangerous. He can easily be introduced into the MCU considering that Carnage is already a part of it. Moreover, The Spider has also worked with Hyperion who is set to appear in the MCU soon. Together they conquered many worlds and realities. He might look like a 14 year old. But don’t let that fool you, he’s actually 42.

5. Zombie Spider-Man

This Spider-Man wasn’t exactly evil to begin with. However, after being bitten by the zombie Colonel America, he wasn’t really himself. When he reached Aunt May and Mary Jane in order to get them to safety, he tried to control his zombie urges and told them to run and hide. But unfortunately he ended up eating both MJ and Aunt May, two of his closest loved ones. He also ate J Jonah Jameson, his boss at the Daily Bugle as revenge for calling him a menace. This storyline would give MCU a chance to explore the much loved zombie genre with a superhuman twist.

6. Patton Parnel

If Marvel ever wants to explore a truly dark and evil Spider-Man then this is it. He was a victim of abuse from his Uncle Ted. This added to his psychopathic tendencies of experimenting on animals and creepily spying on his next door neighbor Sara Jane. This guy would genuinely send shivers down your spine. He also had this weird ability of transferring spider eggs by biting his victims. Naturally, his first victim was his Uncle Ted. He then lured and devoured a little boy who was looking for his dog and even attempted to kill Sarah.
