She-Hulk episode 8 was a momentous one. With the arrival of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, the episode is packed with a lot of action. However, as fans and audiences are engrossed with Jenn and Matt there are some references to two important Marvel characters that may have slipped past them. And its none other than Wolverine and Red Hulk. This happens during the final 10 minutes of the show as Jennifer Walters prepares for the gala. She has been nominated for the female lawyer of the year award.

Jen is busy breaking the fourth wall as she talks to audiences. She talks about how the season finale is here and that obviously a twist is coming our way. While talking about what could throw a wrench in her way she mentions that it could be another Hulk. The only difference is that this one’s Red. This is obviously referring to Red-Hulk aka General Thaddeus Ross. Literally, seconds later, her best friend Nikki Ramos jumps into the frame with makeup brushes and pencils fit between her knuckles. This one is again obviously a reference to Wolverine. She even poses like a superhero at first. So what do these references mean for the MCU?

She-Hulk has already referenced Wolverine once before during episode 2 via a news article easter egg. Moreover, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have announced that Wolverine is coming to the MCU with Deadpool 3. So his presence in She-Hulk’s universe comes as no surprise. But the question about Red Hulk remains.

Does this confirm Red Hulk coming to the MCU?

There have been rumors regarding Red Hulk appearing in the MCU ever since the Thunderbolts project was announced. However, with the unfortunate passing of William Hurt who played General Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross fans have been wondering how that will affect Red Hulk’s involvement in the MCU.  Red Hulk has been an important part of the Thunderbolts team in the Marvel comics. But there was no mention of him when the official line up was announced at the D23 Expo. Nonetheless, there have been several hints that have once again started the rumor of Red Hulk coming to the MCU. In fact, some reports have claimed that he will be appearing in Captain America: New World Order instead of Thunderbolts.

Some fans believe that Red Hulk will be an entire new character. Instead of Thaddeus Ross becoming Red Hulk, some have been theorizing that Jen’s cousin Ched will take the role instead. Belonging to the same family tree, he could also have the special genes that allow the absorption of gamma radiation. Moreover, fans have noticed that Ched has been wearing the color red in most of his appearances with red shirts and red shoes. And now with this new reference, the possibility of him being introduced into the MCU has become all but confirmed.
