Every Game of Thrones fan remembers the Starbucks cup that was left on set by mistake. The cup even managed to make it through the final cut and onto our screens. Somehow, another similar mistake has been made in House of the Dragon episode three. A few green fingers can be spotted on the hands of King Viserys. These were clearly meant to be covered up. Instead, Paddy Considine and his green gloves are now making headlines!

Why is the King wearing green gloves?

In House of the Dragon, King Viserys is a man prone to injuries. Unfortunately, the Iron Throne rejects him for some reason. Due to this, he always suffers cuts and wounds from the Throne. In the first episode as the maesters treat the King, we see the wound on his back resulted from the Iron Throne that refuses to heal. In fact, soon enough he is inflicted with another deep cut on his hand. This leads to the amputation of two of his fingers as the maesters see no other way to treat the infection.

Thus, in the third episode Paddy Considine is wearing green gloves so that the two amputated fingers of King Viserys can be removed using special effects and CGI. This can be seen clearly when the King hands over a letter for Daemon to be delivered by the messenger to the island of Dwarfstone. The letter was regarding the Crown sending aid to help Daemon and Lord Corlys win the battle at the Stepstones. But the green fingers ended up stealing the show. This little detail was presumable missed out during post-production editing and remained in the final cut. Fans especially on twitter have been airing their anger while others share hilarious memes and compare this situation to the Starbucks coffee cup from Game of Thrones.
