Exactly a month ago, from July 21st through 24th, Marvel announced a lot of projects at the San Diego Comic-Con.
We have received lots of new announcements, including the entire Phase 5 timeline as well as some of Phase 6 movies. Let’s straight up get to ranking the top 10 most anticipated projects out of all these announcements.
10. Loki Season 2
Picking up where season 1 left off, we have Sylvie messing up the whole timeline and our version of Loki ending up in another Multiverse version of TVA, where Kang controls the TVA by himself without the time-keeper illusions and where Loki does not exist. This raises many questions and increases our anticipation for this next installment releasing in Summer 2023.
9. Secret Invasion
We have Skrulls, Talos, Nick Fury back, Maria Hill, and Emilia Clarke in this series which is going to be a “darker show” as mentioned by Cobie Smulders, who portrays Maria Hill in the series.
There has even been re-shooting for this series which could either lead to a story change of the initial draft or an increase in the number of episodes. Let’s wait till Spring 2023 to find out which is which.
8. Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania
This will probably be one of the most anticipated movies after it was revealed that we will be witnessing Kang the Conquerer’s entry as the main Antagonist in this movie as well as in future installments.
The Producers also mentioned that they will be exploring more of the Quantum Verse in this movie. We can’t contain our excitement after hearing this news and the release date is locked in on February 18, 2023, making it the first Phase 5 movie.
7. Marvel Zombies
Despite this series not being canon to Earth-616, this series made it this high up in this list, due to a couple of reasons being the interesting one-time episode that we got to see in What If turning into a series.
It was also confirmed, that this series is indeed going to be TV-MA, the first for Marvel, releasing on June 2024.
6. Fantastic Four
After the continuous failures of the previous Fantastic Four films, now Marvel has got a grip on their character rights and can use these characters to their fullest. We will also be seeing fan-favorite villain Doctor Doom as the main antagonist.
The only gripe with this is, needing to wait longer till November 8, 2024. This film will also be the start of Phase 6.
5. X-Men ’97
The direct continuation of the X-Men Animated Series 1992, this announcement has only increased the hype of fans with its vast amount of characters announced to be present in the series.
This was also immediately renewed for a season 2, for the fans, with its release date of S1 being Fall 2023.
4. Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3
We already got to know that High Evolutionary, the creator of species like Adam Warlock will be playing the role of an antagonist who is very evil and powerful. James Gunn confirmed that this will be the end of the story of the Guardians, not necessarily everyone doing.
This increases the emotional value for the fans as we have to witness the death of maybe some characters and say our farewells on May 5, 2023.
3. Avengers: Secret Wars
Long since fans anticipated that these events would be leading to the Secret Wars timeline, we got confirmation of the same at the Comic-Con, fans know very well how exciting this storyline was in the comics, with multiple variants of our favorite characters battling against Kang the Conqueror on a whole different level and dimension.
This film marks the end of Phase 6 of Marvel with its release date being placed at November 7, 2025.
2. Avengers: Kang Dynasty
The storyline in the comics featured a plethora of superheroes facing off against Kang’s invasion of Earth and the same series which gave the throne of one of Marvel’s Greatest Villains to Kang.
This storyline has everything which a fan yearns for, emotions, fights, and conflicts, making it the most anticipated Marvel movie, and part one of an epic finale of phase 6, releasing on May 2, 2025.
1. Daredevil: Born Again
Daredevil series, finally, after making fans angry after the cancellation after S3 Daredevil, and after 4 years, we now have an announcement of a Daredevil series, adapting the best possible storyline, Born Again.
Kevin Feige does know very well how to satisfy fans, and this series is gonna be running for 18 episodes, but fans will have to wait a bit longer for the release date which set its sights for a Spring 2024 release.
