What could Hulk’s new side look like? At this juncture in the MCU, every original Avenger star except for Mark Ruffalo has received their own project. This is all thanks to Black Widow and then Hawkeye on Disney+. The Incredible Hulk’s Bruce Banner was played by Edward Norton, not Ruffalo. It seems unlikely for Mark Ruffalo to reprise his role as the Hulk. Nonetheless, it appears he will have a large role in Marvel’s upcoming animated She-Hulk series for Disney+.

Tatiana Maslany will play Bruce Banner’s cousin, lawyer Jennifer Walters, in She-Hulk, a half-hour legal comedy in which Walters deals with her career and “going green.”

Additionally, Tim Roth plays Abomination, Jameela Jamil portrays Titania, and Mark Ruffalo portrays Professor Hulk or Dr. Banner. The Avengers was always going to be a part of the show, thanks to the 2021 Disney+ Day footage that featured Bruce Banner and Smart Hulk. But it appears that Hulk actor Robert Downey Jr. will play an important role and have the opportunity to show a new side of Hulk.

She-Hulk’s Ruffalo Talks About His Role As The Hulk

Access Hollywood spoke to Ruffalo on the red carpet of Netflix’s The Adam Project about his “long, long scenes” on the show with Maslany’s She-Hulk and how viewers have never “seen the Hulk interact with people as he does in that show:”

“Tatiana Maslany is freaking legendary as the She-Hulk. I’m passing the ‘banner’ onto her. Yeah, there’s some really good, funny, cool, long, long scenes between the Professor and her. We’ve never really seen the Hulk interact with people the way he does in that show. It will be really interesting.”

“Banner” passed by Professor Hulk?

Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk has thus far been a rather lonesome character in the Marvel Universe. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, he and Scarlet Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff almost formed a romantic relationship. In addition, unlike with the other Avengers, the public has seen very little of him outside of the Avengers.

As a result, She-Hulk will be a groundbreaking character. Walters is not only his cousin, but she is also in a similar condition to him. For this reason, audiences can expect a more intimate relationship between Hulk and her than they have seen in previous films.

Ruffalo’s character referred to the Hulk as “Professor” on several occasions, which adds another layer of complexity to his portrayal of the character. For a long time, fans have argued over whether or not Hulk is still a part of the MCU.

Ruffalo reprised his role as Bruce Banner in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings after the credits for Avengers: Endgame. When She-first Hulk’s footage was released, this included scenes with Ruffalo in both of his guises.

The actor claims that Professor Hulk and Maslany are involved in “long, long scenes” in the 2022 series, which suggests that MCU fans can expect more of Endgame Hulk in the future.

After She-Hulk, the new question for Marvel fans is: Will there be more Hulk? The fact is that Ruffalo has already confessed that he will hand over Bruce Banner’s “banner” to Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk, much like Jeremy Renner did with Hawkeye to Kate Bishop. However, the fate of Jeremy Renner in the MCU remains a mystery at this time.

Fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out the answer to that question, to witness Hulk’s new side, and to know more about Ruffalo’s potential in the MCU.
