Spider-Man: No Way Home has arrived, and it is obliterating the box office to absolutely no one’s surprise. Spidey’s third solo outing brought in 121.5 million dollars on its debut Friday, making it NWH’s record-breaking Friday opening of all time, behind only Avengers: Endgame’s $157 million.

There was no doubt that Spider-Man would be a massive hit for the MCU. Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx as Electro cut Marvel and Sony opted to bring in characters from the past. This drew even more attention, as you might expect.

That doesn’t include the speculations of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s involvement, on top of the known antagonists. It doesn’t matter if they made it in or not; just hearing them talk about it piqued my curiosity in the movie.

Tom Holland Celebrates Spider-Man’s Success

Tom Holland, star of Spider-Man: No Way Home, celebrated NWH’s Record-Breaking Opening on Instagram in a new post.

In a statement, the actor said, “[Fans] made this possible,” and he thanked everyone for their support.

“Wow guys I can’t believe these number. You made this possible. Your love and support means the world to me. Thank you thank you thank you and if you haven’t seen Spider-Man No Way Home yet…. Merry Christmas and you know what to…”

On his Instagram account, Tom Holland thanked his stunt doubles and pals for their hard work on the film. Their accomplishments were like “stubbing [his] toe on the glider,” the actor said.

“Without these legends, this movie wouldn’t be half as good. Thank you lads for your hard work and dedication. From Luke’s crash into the stairs to Greg’s falling through the floor to me stubbing little toe on the glider. It’s been an adventure. Love you lads.”

Fans Are Tom Holland’s Lifeblood

Tom Holland As Spiderman

Always appreciative of those who support him, Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland has always been kind and humble. It was a similar reaction from Holland when the film’s first trailer broke viewership records.

He has a great deal of affection for his closest friends and family members. He even managed to get his brother a role in the picture, even though it didn’t make the final edit; at least he tried.

It’s clear that the actor is deeply appreciative of this opportunity, but he may be ready to hand the reins over to a new generation of actors. The actor mentioned characters like Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales as possible new leads while discussing the show’s future.

That may appear to indicate that he’s finished, but that’s most likely not the case. It’s more than probably a public show to try and obtain control for a new contract and pay—after all, even Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige indicated that fans would be seeing the character again. Maybe it will be relatively soon.
