A spinoff featuring Kathryn Hahn’s evil Agatha Harkness, from the famous reality-bending comedy, is moving quickly forward at Marvel Studios. With rumors that Eric André has joined the ensemble of the WandaVision spin-off, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the show’s comedic tone seems to be taken quite seriously.

Coven of Chaos, which has been classified as a dark comedy, may have just boosted its star power greatly by adding a giant of the tv comedy scene to the Disney+ series. Several media sites are currently (perhaps incorrectly) speculating that André will join the Agatha CoC cast, although there has been no confirmed source for the news. If that happens, it may be a huge draw for the series, particularly in terms of attracting a new audience.

Are The Rumors True?

As speculated and reported by Deadline, popular comedian and actor Eric Andre will be reportedly joining the Agatha CoC cast in an unnamed role with the involvement said to be limited to a single episode.

In recent years, Eric Andre has added a number of significant ventures to his stellar resume, including a part in 2019’s live-action The Lion King and his ongoing work on The Eric Andre Show. Even though his appearance in Agatha: Coven of Chaos is said to be limited to a single episode, he is now the latest A-lister to add a Marvel Studios production to their résumé.

Andre, who has built quite a reputation for his comedic chops over the years, should fit right in with the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s signature style of humor, particularly as Coven of Chaos is expected to go into the darker side of the comic genre.  When the plot of Agatha’s first MCU project since her tenure in WandaVision is revealed, Andre, whomever he ends up portraying, will be an important player to keep an eye on.
