It has been a while since Lucasfilm had any live-action releases in the Star Wars universe. As such, fans are starved for a live-action show. But they won’t have to wait much longer since The Book of Boba Fett is close to premiering.

Fans are also excited for shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor. Of course, another show that fans are excited about is Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka series. After all, it will see Ahsoka finally get her much-deserved solo series. Also, she will get to meet her mentor Anakin Skywalker again in one way or another. But before we dive into the release date, let us get to know her journey till now.

Now, Ahsoka Tano was first introduced in The Clone Wars, and then we got to see her again in Rebels. She made her live-action debut portrayed by Rosario Dawson during Episode 13 of The Mandalorian. It was titled “Chapter 13: The Jedi.” This helped set the stage for Ahsoka to have her own narrative as a Jedi before getting her own show via an announcement at Disney Investor Day 2020.

Now, people were interested in the Ahsoka series from the beginning. However, it has to be admitted that the show has largely flown under the radar since its announcement. However, as we said above, it did make headlines in October with the news that Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader in the series. Now, with filming slated to begin soon (maybe as soon as December?), here’s everything you need to know about the release date window of the Disney+ Star Wars series Ahsoka.

The Bespin Bulletin has said that Lucasfilm and Disney are trying to release Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka on Disney+ in Spring 2023. This comes with rumors that the show will start shooting somewhere in early 2022. Now, if Ahsoka is indeed planning for a fall debut, then it has a great deal of work ahead of itself.

Currently, rumors say that filming will take place somewhere between 4-16 months to complete in 2022. The show is being helmed by Dave Filoni as both the executive producer and director of the series. However, he isn’t the only executive producer on the show. Joining him is Jon Favreau. Right now, there are no firm reports about her next mission after The Mandalorian.

However, rumors have said that she will be going on a search for Ezra Bridger. Also, there are rumors of Sabine Wren and Grand Admiral Thrawn getting thrown into the mix. With Disney+ Day proving to be a dud with no new updates on the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars shows, it might still be some time before we start getting reliable updates.

As such, fans will have to be a little patient. Even though the show might fly under the radar for now, but it will once again show up on those eagerly-anticipated show lists once some definitive progress has been made. Ahsoka is rumored to release on Disney+ in Spring 2023.
