The season 3 trailer for “The Mandalorian” shook the internet with its references and hints of what’s to come. But now some things have been changed. Disney has made one edit in the trailer that’s added to the Disney+ streaming service. This edited footage contains big hints of what’s to come. So let us explain it.

In the new edited footage only one thing has been added. We see a shot of a massive Imperial Star Destroyer. The background of the shot hints at Coruscant and we can also see multiple other similar Star Destroyers there. The lighting is quite dark so it is difficult to make many details out, but it doesn’t looks like the ship is too damaged. Also, it looks like in the distance there are about 5 or 6 more such Star Destroyers.

The presence of this shot could hint at a lot of interesting things to come. After all, the timeline of “The Mandalorian” means that the Empire is not in existence right now. But, the two seasons till now have made it clear that there are still Imperial cells who are fighting to again bring back the Empire. So if those sympathizers could get those Star Destroyers working again, then the Empire could start making a return.

What Do The Presence Of The Star Destroyers Mean For Season 3?

Star Destroyers are formidable weapons in themselves and they were also used to transport other weapons, machinery, and stormtroopers when the Empire was in power. Since the Empire hasn’t been active for about half a decade now so these large carriers could just be lying around waiting to be sent to a junkyard.

However, it’s also possible that since the Empire had a large presence on Coruscant so those Destroyers could be repaired again for further use. It’s also interesting that this shot is followed by the one of Dr. Pershing on Coruscant. So it could mean that the Empire could be gearing up to launch an attack.

We will see what happens to Grogu and Din Djarin due to this when The Mandalorian season 3 premieres on 1st March 2022.
