The Star Wars universe got some pretty spicy announcements of late, especially regarding some series that the fans liked and were critically well received too. There have also been projects announced with the Director’s Name but their names have yet to be revealed

Without further ado, let us get to ranking the top 10 most anticipated Star Wars projects out of all the announced projects.

10. Rangers Of The New Republic

Coming in at last position, we have this series which is going to follow a group of X-Wing pilots, set around in the same timeframe as The Mandalorian.

According to some reports, this series would be connecting to other biggies like Ahsoka and will result in a huge Star Wars TV universe for an epic crossover, increasing fans’ expectations for the series.

9. The Acolyte

Helmed by Leslye Headland, this series is set during the High Republic Era of Star Wars and, coming from the perspective of a Sith which opens up many possibilities for the series.

We can once again visit the golden age of Jedi and watch the rise of the Sith to power and see the story from a different perspective altogether. The release date is yet to be announced for this.

8. A Droid Story

A feature animated film, which was scheduled to be premiered on Disney+. The film will supposedly feature a new character that is guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO.

The development is handled by Lucasfilm Animations which will be teaming up with Industrial Light and Magic, Lucasfilm’s visual effects team.

There was a standalone series for this character announced which was supposed to be developed by Justin Simien who is a huge Star Wars fan. Knowing that this is done by a Star Wars fan, rest assured that we will be getting a series of good quality.

We have both the director of Spiderman and Jon Watts and Spider-Man Homecoming screenwriter, Chris Ford working on this series, which follows the fall of the empire from the point of view of four children, 11-12 years old. We also have Jude Law in an undisclosed role.

This is undoubtedly going to be a prestigious project for the people involved and will be a feast to the fans awaiting the release date of this project.

Season 1 of Star Wars visions captured its viewers with its breathtaking visuals and animation, which was even received well among critics, and returns for an S2 in the summer of 2023.

Only this time, Season 2 will be even better after the changes they got planned for the series, inviting more diversity by hiring studios from other countries to further go past the anime boundary it had set for itself.

4. The Bad Batch Season 2

Following the success of The Bad Batch Season 1, this series got renewed for a Season 2, for 16 episodes worth of a season, for more fun and action-packed next season. We have several characters returning to their role, continuing the story after teasing a time jump for the next installment. We also have Emperor Palpatine and Commander Cody coming to disney+ on September 28 this year.

3. Ahsoka

Rosario Dawson’s epic portrayal of the character Ahsoka Tano on-screen paved the way for a live-action Ahsoka series with Jon Favreau as the showrunner and Dave Filoni as the executive producer. Ahsoka had appeared in a few other animated series such as The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. The first live-action portrayal of Ahsoka was properly done in Mandalorian S2 itself which was well received by fans and critics all alike.

It was only revealed that it would be released in 2023, nothing else information is known as of now regarding this series.

2. Andor

Set five years before the events of Rogue One, we have the rebel spy Cassian Andor returning with Diego Luna reprising his iconic role to portray more adventures of his during the earlier days of the Rebellion.

This series has been geared for a September 21 release date this year, the season which consists of 12 episodes and, the next installment had already been confirmed in advance by the producers. More Espionage spy thriller missions for Cassian Andor and we fans are ready to take that any day.

On top of the list, we have Mandalorian, following up on the success of its previous seasons, Mandalorian follows its path to Season 3 while being consistently good, delivering good action scenes as well as an engaging story in the journey to keep Grogu, one of Yoda’s species safe from any threats and to make him a proper Jedi.

The Mandalorian does not look compromised anywhere and doesn’t show any flaws despite its convoluted storyline. Mandalorian S3 is supposed to release in February 2023 on Disney+, rest assured Mandalorian fans, we have already gotten an announcement of its Season 4 which we will be again looking forward to, for the epic storytelling and its portrayal of the character, by Pedro Pascal.
