Joining the returning cast members, Morgan Elsbeth, played by Diana Lee Inosanto, and Ray Stevenson’s Baylan Skoll, is actor Wes Chatham. According to Deadline, Chatham will play the right-hand man to Lars Mikkelsen’s Admiral Thrawn.

Chatham, known for his work in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, The Expanse, and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, will be joined by Ivanna Sakhno’s Shin Hati, another lightsaber-wielder who will work alongside Thrawn and his team.

The Mandalorian Tie-In

The Mandalorian

Thrawn’s recent presence in the Star Wars universe has grown since his namedrop in The Mandalorian Season 2. In the latest episode of the show, Xander Berkeley briefly appeared as Gilad Pellaeon, a Legends character who serves as Thrawn’s right-hand man.

This conversation between Moff Gideon and Empire leaders confirmed that Thrawn still holds a powerful position as the “Heir to the Empire.” Pellaeon’s loyalty to Thrawn is evident, and fans can only wonder if he will also make an appearance in Ahsoka as another aid to the Chiss villain.

With Thrawn’s namedrops becoming more prominent in recent Star Wars media, Lucasfilm is setting the stage for his live-action debut in Ahsoka. The addition of Wes Chatham’s character and the team of villains he joins only adds to the anticipation for this highly anticipated series.
