Anne Hathaway, a renowned Hollywood actress, recently admitted that she was petrified before her first kissing scene in public. In an exclusive interview with Black Film, she shared that before her breakthrough role in The Princess Diaries, she had to audition for a series called Get Real. As part of the audition, she was asked to kiss her co-star. The actress revealed that she was shaking with nervousness for two weeks prior to the scene.

On-screen intimacy is a common practice in the movie industry, but many actors are not comfortable with it. She mentioned that some actors have “dodgy instincts” when it comes to kissing scenes and try to make them look too real. However, she appreciated James McAvoy’s approach to kissing scenes while they worked together in Becoming Jane.
