“Ant-Man 3” is stirring up a lot of controversies online. The movie is proving to be divisive even among hardcore MCU fans. From criticizing the plot to the CGI, Marvel fans are showing their disappointment for the first movie of MCU’s Phase 5 online. In the midst of it all, there’s a weird editing mistake that viewers of the film have pointed out. It looks like things are going downhill for the movie.

Editing Error In Ant-Man 3

In the film there’s a scene where Cassie Lang is getting escorted by two guards of Kang in his citadel. To escape, she uses the Pym devices that can shrink and enlarge anything. She shrinks one and then kick the guard away while she enlarges the other and then leaves him stuck through the roof.

Only the large legs of the guard are visible. However, there’s another contingent of guards coming up right behind them. So Cassie shrinks herself and the guards pass her, unaware of anything being wrong. But something is not right with this scene.

The guards have no reaction to the other enlarged guard whose legs are the only things that’s visible. Also, we don’t see the enlarged guard in the next frame when the groups of guards walk by.

It seems like it was a continuity or editing error. In a big budget superhero tentpole movie like Ant-Man 3, such mistakes should have been caught and corrected.

MCU fans are divided over “Ant-Man 3.” Some think that it’s comedic and on par with what the MCU generally puts out. But others are of the view that it has an undercooked plot with characterization that’s all over the place.

Other complaints with the film include its CGI that many thought looked artificial and fake. On the Marvel Studios subreddit, one commentator said that the movie lacked consequences.

The poster said, “One thing I’ve loved from Spiderman No Way Home was how Peter’s actions have solid consequences, especially with May dying and being forgotten by everyone he loved. That was lacking in this movie. Imagine if killing Kang had the cost of Ant Man and the Wasp being stuck on the quantum realm. It would have been so cool. But they scraped it with that family-friendly portal ending.”

Another fan said that Janet not telling anyone about the Quantum Realm was the stupidest thing ever seen in a film. They said, “Janet not telling the group about Kang when she first got back has got to be one of the biggest plot holes and stupidest things I’ve ever seen in any movie. They were working on quantum realm stuff at the end of part two and she still said nothing.”
