Marvel fans can now get their first look at the upcoming Captain America 4: New World Order, which features Anthony Mackie’s return to the role of Sam Wilson. The first photos from the Phase 5 production show Mackie on set in Atlanta, Georgia, where filming began on March 20, 2023.

In New World Order, Mackie’s character, Sam Wilson, will be taking on his first big-screen lead role after taking up the Captain America mantle in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Smyth’s Diner Set Confirmed

Other images from the set confirm that New World Order will feature a Smyth’s Diner location, which is a deep-cut location from Marvel Comics. The diner had a West Virginia baseball shirt on the wall, which raises questions about Wilson’s connection to the state.

Production Details And MCU Projects

According to reports, New World Order will conduct a lot of set work in Atlanta and other cities, with production expected to continue until June 30. Other MCU projects, such as Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Daredevil: Born Again, are also currently filming in Atlanta and New York.
