Fans have loved Ahsoka Tano from her Clone Wars and Rebels days. For a long time, they have wanted to see her in live-action, and that finally happened in The Mandalorian season 2. Rosario Dawson was cast as Ahsoka Tano and she made a big impression on fans when her time came to shine in season 2.
In fact, the character was so well received that Lucasfilm went ahead with their plans to give her a spin-off show titled after her. Right now, Ahsoka is just expected to be a one-season limited series that will explain what happened to the previous Jedi after Star Wars: Rebels ended.
However, Lucasfilms might be cooking more things for her.
As per a new rumor, Rosario Dawson might get more than what she signed up for, and in a good way. This is because it looks her Ahsoka Tano could be the face of the Star Wars TV franchise.
As per film scooper Daniel Richtman, Ahsoka Tano might be playing a bigger role in the Disney+ shared universe that Lucasfilm is developing after the success of The Mandalorian.
This might seem like a surprise to many since many expected Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin to take center stage. However, we should state that it was The Mandalorian as a show that made people love it so much rather than just the presence of Mando himself.
This rumor might be resulting from the fact that Pedro Pascal is just too busy right now. After all, it is because of his busy schedule that production on The Mandalorian season 3 has been delayed for now. Many fans will already know that currently, Pedro Pascal is shooting HBO’s The Last of Us. So season 3 of The Mandalorian won’t happen till at least mid-2022.
So Lucasfilm focusing on other Mandalorian spin-offs and characters makes sense logically. Also, we should mention that it was already revealed that Ahsoka will connect with The Mandalorian, Rangers of the New Republic, and The Book of Boba Fett.
Then the 4 shows will carry out a “climactic story event.” Right now, Rangers of the New Republic have been put on hold after Gina Carano’s firing, so there’s no way of knowing if that story event will indeed end up happening.
However, no matter what happens, it’s not realistic to expect that Pedro Pascal’s bounty hunter will keep on showing up always. So maybe Ahsoka will be the one who will become the connective tissue between the multiple shows.
Now, if the rumor of Ahsoka taking the center stage is true, then we might see her again in The Book of Boba Fett that’s releasing in December. But will it happen? To get a concrete answer, we have to wait till December at least.
