Marvel Studios is known for producing the best cast possible for their projects. Marvel has kept the cast and storyline of “Thunderbolt” under wraps. However, according to recent reports, the cast of The Thunderbolts movie has grown by one.

The “Thunderbolts” movie was officially announced for 2022 at Disney’s D23 Expo. The movie is based around a team of Marvel supervillains, according to the American publication Entertainment Weekly.

The July 2024 film will be the final chapter of Phase 5 and will feature a star-studded cast. Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) from Black Widow, Red Guardian (David Harbour) and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) from “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and John Walker (Wyatt Russell), and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) from Ant-Man and the Wasp are all confirmed to appear.

Little is known about the upcoming blockbuster other than that it will begin filming in June, as reported by Louis-Dreyfus.

The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri Joins The Cast.

Phase 5 of Marvel Studios starts next month with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will take the Multiverse Saga to new heights. The Thunderbolts will eventually join the MCU during Phase Five. The “Thunderbolts” already has a stellar cast, and the addition of The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri completes the picture. After years of speculation, the film will finally begin filming this year in order to hit theaters in 2024. “Paper Towns” director Jake Schreier will direct the film and follow a script by “Black Widow” writer Eric Pearson.

Even after the announcement, the bear star’s role in the “Thunderbolts” remains unknown. With the roles still unknown, little is known about the phase-ending film aside from its stars, leaving fans to speculate and theorize about what to expect from the upcoming blockbuster.

When speculating on who Edebiri might be playing in Thunderbolts, it’s likely she’ll be playing someone who already exists in the story. Because the MCU follows different time lines, Edebiri could play a character from a specific comic book run. Edebiri could end up playing Moonstone or Songbird; hopefully, we’ll hear more about her role in the film soon.

Edebiri rose to fame in the highly acclaimed series “The Bear” as a sous-chef from Sydney. She will next be seen in the LGBTQ coming-of-age comedy “Bottoms,” which is set to be released later this year on Prime Video.

Thunderbolts is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
