Despite earning less than the original Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was still a success for Disney and Marvel Studios, as it earned a profit of $259 million. The circumstances under which the movie was made and released were challenging, given the state of the theatrical business after the COVID-19 pandemic. The lack of a Chinese release for the film also affected its box office total. However, the movie was a worthy endeavor and was able to get into the black by quite a bit. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now available to stream on Disney+.
