What is Blade’s release date? There are a few big new entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that are still up in the air when it comes to production and release dates. With both Deadpool 3 and Fantastic Four looking for a new director, Marvel has also included Mahershala Ali’s blade in this group.

Nearly three years after Feige and Ali announced Blade at Comic-Con in 2019, Blade is still on the MCU’s calendar. Basim Tariq and Stacy Osei-Kuffour have since signed with Marvel Studios to direct and write Blade, but outside of these big staffing changes, the film remains a mystery.

Blade has yet to receive a release date or a production schedule, despite the fact that Marvel has been in Phase 4 for nearly 18 months. Even though nothing is set in stone, a new rumor suggests that work on the project could begin soon.

As reported by Production List, Marvel Studios has tentatively scheduled the start of shooting Mahershala Ali’s Blade on July 4 in Atlanta, Georgia, and New Orleans, Louisiana.

Despite the fact that July 4 is a federal holiday, Blade could begin production as early as Tuesday, July 5.

A leading role for a vampire could be in the works for the MCU in the near future if this information is correct.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting news of Mahershala Ali’s first on-screen appearance since his voiceover cameo in Eternals’ post-credits scene. Even if he shows up earlier than expected, the prospect of working on his own solo film is exciting news in and of itself.

Filming in New Orleans and Atlanta will most likely continue through the end of 2022, if not into early 2023 if shooting begins in a month. Adding a few months of post-production work to that time frame could give Blade fans a better idea of when they can expect the film to be released in theaters.

Even though Blade was originally planned to be released sometime in October 2022, it now appears to be a more realistic goal for 2023 to coincide with the Halloween season. The scene will become clearer once Eric Brooks and the rest of the crew join the ranks of Marvel Studios’ largest and greatest names once production gets underway.
