Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Book of Boba Fett episode 7.

We saw Din Djarin give Grogu a chainmail shirt made of beskar to wear. And when Luke told Grogu to choose between that armor and Yoda’s lightsaber, the little creature chose the former.

So he chose the Mandalorian way and thus, Grogu and Din were reunited again in the finale of The Book of Boba Fett. As a result, the two of them could help Lord Fett in his fight against the Pyke Syndicate.

Grogu helped take down droids as well put Boba’s rancor to sleep. This isn’t the first time Grogu has used the Force with animals. In season 1 of The Mandalorian, the little creature used his powers to save Din from an attacking Mudhorn.

As a result, an armor made by Mando bore that signet on the shoulder plate- the skull of a mudhorn. Now, maybe it’s time for Grogu to get his signet. After all, he decided to reunite with Mando and defeated Boba’s rancor in the finale.

What Signet Should Grogu Have?

In episode 7 of The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu’s little training with Luke likely resulted in him having greater confidence to use the Force. So he helped Din during his battle with one of the Scorponek droids by taking out its legs.

Also, when Boba lost control of his rancor, the beast went on a rampage. Even Din failed to subdue the creature. But Grogu ultimately prevailed. He used the Force to put it to sleep. Thus, he ended the destruction.

So it certainly looks like Grogu has earned himself a signet styled like a rancor.

Grogu chose Din and Mandalore. And in doing so, he turned away from the Jedi path. But it looks like Grogu is sure he wants to be a Mandalorian foundling.

He has his beskar armor from Mando now, and it would be great to see him get further protection like a shoulder plate with the rancor’s skull. Season 3 of The Mandalorian is still in production after its production dates were extended.

It’s been rumored that the plot will involve Mandalore’s liberation. So it looks like it would be a dangerous place, and as such, Grogu might need extra protection.

So maybe this is how he will ultimately get that signet. After all, Grogu controlling the humongous rancor is the best example of size-doesn’t-matter in a fight.

So it’s a great victory that should be immortalized as other Mandalorians do after proving their prowess. Maybe Din will recognize Grogu’s power and train his foundling accordingly in season 3 of The Mandalorian.

Also, who knows, maybe Grogu will turn out to be the second Mandalorian Jedi after Tarre Vizsla after all. All that’s left to be seen in season 3, that’s rumored to premiere in 2022 itself.

But for now, you can check out the first full season of The Book of Boba Fett streaming now on Disney+.
