Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett.

The Book of Boba Fett has finished its run on Disney+. The show showcased the titular bounty hunter exploring his life as a crime lord in the current day.

At first, the show was panned by fans for being slow-paced and boring. But things quickly changed from episode 5 when characters like Din Djarin, Grogu, Ahsoka, Luke Skywalker, and more returned. Thus, sending fans into a frenzy.

The finale of the show titled “Chapter 7 – In the Name of Honor” had to tie everything together for the titular character who we hadn’t seen after the show became The Mandalorian 2.5.

Ultimately, the hour-long episode delivered what the show had been building up to- the war between the Pykes and Boba Fett. Also, there were great moments will Cad Bane, Grogu, Mando, and more.

However, fans feel like the episode could have been better.

Boba Fett Finale Falls Flat On Rotten Tomatoes

It felt like the last episode only delivered on its basic premise and failed to wow fans in any major way. And the Rotten Tomatoes score for the final episode shows that sentiment since it has become the lowest-rated episode of the show by a huge margin.

Comparing the episode scores for The Book of Boba Fett reveals that the final episode came in dead last. See for yourself:

“Chapter 1: Stranger In a Strange Land” gets 82% (57 Critic Ratings)

“Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine” gets 90% (21 Critic Ratings)

“Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa” gets 59% (17 Critic Ratings)

“Chapter 4: The Gathering Storm” gets 86% (22 Critic Ratings)

“Chapter 5: Return of The Mandalorian” gets 100% (20 Critic Ratings)

“Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger” gets 89% (19 Critic Ratings)

“Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor” gets 47% (17 Critic Ratings)

It looks like The Book of Boba Fett has joined the MCU on a unique trend. Both The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision season finales were also given the worst RT scores for their respective shows.

Why Did The Finale Get Such Low Scores?

As we can see from the list above, barring Chapter 3, the other episodes of The Book of Boba Fett had respectable scores. It comes as no surprise that the episodes with Din Djarin and Grogu have got high ratings.

The 3 lowest-rated episodes of the show share one common thread- they were all directed by Robert Rodriguez. The director and executive producer has been widely panned for his style, especially when shooting the action sequences.

And it’s clear that the fight scenes in the final episode have influenced its scores. Also, it can’t be denied that the overall structure and pacing of the war were rough. Actually, one of the Mods 180 spin has become a meme already.

However, the entire blame can’t be put on Robert Rodriguez’s shoulders. The writers are to be blamed as well. However, in the end, the show could have ended on a better note than this.
