Chris Evans, famously known for his role as Captain America, recently spoke about his friendship with his fellow MCU castmates. The actors behind the world’s biggest franchises are known to be a close-knit group of friends, with the Avengers having their own group chat.
In a recent interview with GMA about his new film Ghosted, Evans revealed that Scarlett Johansson, who played Black Widow, is the co-star he is closest to. The two actors have been friends for a long time, with Johansson mentioning in a past interview that they bonded over their shared experience on the set of The Perfect Score when she was just 17.
Johansson also revealed that they often discussed their personal lives, including relationships and family, and had a similar dynamic to their characters Natasha Romanoff and Steve Rogers.
Evans and Johansson also discussed their Marvel roles with each other before the MCU became popular. While Johansson was playing a character that Marvel was invested in, Evans was taking on the full brunt of the production on his shoulders.
Will Chris Evans Return To The MCU?
Chris Evans will next be seen in Apple TV+’s Ghosted, but his recent film ventures have not done too well. While there is a possibility of Evans returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe since his character, Steve Rogers, is not dead, the actor himself is hesitant.
Evans noted that if he did come back to the MCU, it would have to be for the right reasons and timing. For now, he feels that it’s too soon for his return.
