The MCU is about to make a big splash with the release of Marvel Studios’ first movie in theaters in 2022. This sequel to Doctor Strange: The Multiverse of Madness has been in the works for a long time, and fans’ expectations for it are sky-high. As Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange, Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, and Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez travel through alternate realities, the film will focus on their interactions.

While the rumored cameos have occupied many a conversation about the project, the trio of heroes is exciting for fans. Professor X, played by Patrick Stewart, has already been introduced to the audience, but there appear to be many more in MoM’s two-hour and six-minute runtime.

Captain Carter, played by Hayley Atwell, has been confirmed to appear in Doctor Strange, but has yet to be seen. In the Disney+ series What If…?, which aired last fall, an alternate version of Hayley Atwell’s Captain America was shown. Rather than Steve Rogers, Carter was injected with the Super Soldier Serum in the animated Marvel anthology.

The filmmakers of Multiverse of Madness have now let Carter play in the film’s marketing material, less than a week before its worldwide release.

Hayley Atwell’s Captain Carter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness gets her first look in a new teaser after being confirmed to appear in the film.

In an alternate Carter’s world; As she leaps away from Wanda Maximoff, Avenger carries the same shield she used in her animated debut, even though her face is obscured.

New footage shows that Peggy has a jetpack, which resembles the Hydra Stomper’s equipment on the back.

The Captain Marvel Variant in the film appears to be Lashana Lynch’s Maria Rambeau in another shot.

Why Captain Carter Is In Doctor Strange 2

Seeing Captain Carter in action for the first time has been an incredible experience for me. It’s understandable that some people will think this spoils the surprise, but the character has been confirmed to appear in the film for some time now. How the studio shows something without revealing the true secrets of this multiversal epic.

Director Sam Raimi, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, and the rest of the Marvel Studios leadership team are experts in their fields. Just enough to get MCU aficionados excited without compromising too much.

While it’s difficult to draw any conclusions from a single frame of video, there are a few things to keep in mind. First and foremost, Atwell’s hero appears to be a model of virtuosity. The shield and a portion of the costume appear to be straight out of What If..? film.

This scene’s location is also worth noting. As Captain Carter takes on Scarlet Witch, it appears that she will be forced to the brink. The Illuminati’s headquarters appears to be the film’s setting, based on footage shown in the trailers.

The Scarlet Witch appears to be the aggressor in this scene, which is consistent with other mentions of her in the film. So, it’s possible that Carter is a member of the Illuminati or a guardian of a mysterious interdimensional group that Carter is protecting. Fans can only hope that this is not the final appearance of Hayley Atwell’s Avenger in the film.
