Here Are The Best MCU Supporting Characters Who Will Soon Take Centre Stage

While MCU mainly focuses on the heroes, it would be incomplete without many of the supporting characters. These supporting characters quite literally support the superheroes while also being heroes themselves. One such supporting character is Wong who started off as a supporting character to Doctor Strange. However, eventually, he really stepped into his own, becoming a funny yet responsible character who assumed the role of the Sorcerer Supreme and became loved by audiences. Similarly, there are many other supporting characters who will soon be given the opportunity to really showcase their potential and take centre stage in the MCU. Here are 10 such characters you can look forward to seeing a lot of in the future.

1. Maria Hill, second in command to Nick Fury in the MCU

MCU fans all know Agent Maria Hill who is essentially second in command to Nick Fury. On the whole, she has been an exemplary agent and shown unwavering loyalty to S.H.I.E.L.D. However, Maria Hill’s character is severely underdeveloped and underused. But worry not, Maria Hill and her backstory will soon be explored in the upcoming Secret Invasion project of the MCU.

2. Skaar, Hulk’s son from the Marvel comics

Skaar was introduced in the final episode of She-Hulk as the Hulk’s son. Hulk had given birth to Skaar during his time in Sakaar. While we have only seen this character for mere seconds, he will soon take centre stage during the World War Hulk arc. This tentative Hulk movie will be exploring his time on Sakaar and also his relationship with his son Skaar.

3. Joaquin Torres

At the end of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson took on the role of Captain America. Therefore, Joaquin Torres who had a pretty major role in Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be taking up the mantle of Falcon. Sam Wilson left Torres with his EXO-7 Falcon suit. This definitely means that Torres will soon interact with the rest of the Avengers.

4. Dane Whitman aka Black Night

Dane Whitman’s transformation into the Black Knight has already been teased in the post-credits scene of Eternals. Dane Whitman opens a box emblazoned with his family crest to reveal the Ebony Blade. He will eventually become the superhero called Black Knight and have a much more central role in the MCU.

5. Alexi Shostakov aka Red Guardian in the MCU

While at first glance, the Red Guardian seemed like a comic relief, do not underestimate him or his abilities. He was overshadowed by his two brilliant badass daughters in Black Widow. However, with the upcoming MCU project of The Thunderbolts, he will get to showcase exactly what he’s made of.

6. Layla El-Faouly

In the final scenes of Moon Knight Layla played by May Calamaway, transformed into her superhero alternate self known as the Scarlet Scarab. Consequently, she will become much more than just a supporting character to Moon Knight.

7. Maria Lopez

Fans truly appreciated the character of Echo aka Maria Lopez. Played by Alaqua Cox, she was as fierce as they come and added to the MCU’s representation of people. Her character will now be explored in great depth with the Disney+ series titled Echo. As a matter of fact, she will be facing none other than the Kingpin.

8. Antonia Dreykov aka Taskmaster

The Taskmaster from Black Widow is another character set to appear in The Thunderbolts. Moreover, from what we had seen in Black Widow, we hope that the MCU does justice to this amazingly powerful character as was done by Marvel comics.

9. Hunter B-15

This powerful woman, Hunter B-15 had quite a small role in Loki season 1. However, her character has a whole lot of potential. The director of Loki herself has raised the question of the future of Hunter B-15 and how there is a lot left to explore in Loki Season 2.

10. John Walker

The last character on this list, John Walker aka U.S. Agent, has already been recruited by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine as a part of her team of anti-heroes. He is all set to appear in The Thunderbolts and steal the spotlight.

There are other supporting characters too who will either have a larger role in the future or are wanted on the big screen by fans. These characters would include Nakia, M’Baku, Riri Williams, the Maximoff twins and even The Contessa.
