Marvel Studios is hoping to finish 2021 epically by releasing blockbuster titles like The Eternals and the most anticipated movie Spider-Man: No Way Home. But this doesn’t mean that the MCU is over. It will keep on delivering thrilling blockbusters that will rule the box office. After all, the projects that will be released in the next couple of years on the big screen as well as on the Disney+ streaming service have already been decided.

These plans go way beyond incorporating characters like Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock in Spider-Man: No Way Home or even bringing heroes like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four home so that they can be part of the MCU as well. Recent rumors have revealed potential plans to bring Jim Carrey into the larger MCU as MODOK.

But that’s not everything. In the leak, the upcoming Disney+ MCU show She-Hulk was referenced several times as well. And in the leak, there was information regarding a beloved Marvel Netflix hero’s return. But with a new story.

Charlie Cox Will Return As New Daredevil In The MCU

The Moderating team of the subreddit Marvel Studios Spoilers reported that Charlie Cox will be coming back to the role of Matt Murdock in She-Hulk. This will be his first appearance in the role for the MCU after portraying it for 3 seasons in the Marvel Netflix series Daredevil.

The leak claims that he won’t be playing the same version. Instead, he will be playing a different version than the one seen on Netflix. However, the leak didn’t specify just what Cox’s new Daredevil will be like.

Even though fans are speculating that Charlie Cox might be in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home movie, but the actor himself has denied these rumors. However, apart from these rumors, there have also been reports that Daredevil will be appearing in the Disney+ She-Hulk show. And very curiously, the actor hasn’t straight up refuted these claims.

So if these rumors do turn out to be true (after all, MCU actors have lied before to keep their appearances a secret), then it will be a gift for fans. Because then there will be a possibility that the Matt Murdock we will be seeing in the MCU will be different from the Netflix version.

The big mystery is just exactly how Cox’s Daredevil in the MCU will differ from his first run as the masked vigilante. Since the same actor is playing the role, so overall, he should be playing a version of the character that’s reminiscent of Matt Murdock from his past outing.

However, suffice to say that the new version will have an MCU twist that would have been missing from the Netflix version. And it does make sense that the MCU is trying to distance itself from the Netflix Daredevil version since it’s becoming farther and farther from canon.

In late 2020, shortly after it was rumored that Charlie Cox might be coming to the MCU, there were some surprising speculations. Some said that Marvel wanted to use Daredevil’s comic classic yellow suit. After all, that surely wasn’t seen in the 3 seasons of the Netflix show. If this rumor ends up being true, then it will be a monumental moment for Daredevil’s MCU debut.

Now, fans would much rather have Charlie Cox play the same version of Daredevil from the Netflix series. But if that doesn’t happen, then maybe the MCU twist will be enough to satisfy fans. After all, they have a reputation for doing more things right rather than wrong. So here’s to hoping that they get Daredevil right in the MCU. She-Hulk will debut on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
