Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, developed by Lucas Films is a live-action television series set to air on  Disney plus. After the ten years of the dramatic events of the Star Wars: Revenge of Sith episode III,  Ewan McGregor would be seen playing Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen would be seen playing Darth Vader.

In the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Obi-Wan accepted the corruption and the downfall of the Jedi apprentice and his best friend and it was also seen that Anakin Skywalker became  Darth Vader, the evil sith lord. In 1999, Ewan McGregor first appeared as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Ewan McGregor played a vital role in the prequel trilogy, personified as the most famous character in the Star Wars and saw in the most prominent roles in the Revenge of Sith and Attack of  Clones.

It is a matter of surprise that the stormtroopers and Ewan McGregor has never shared the screen together, and finally, this is going to change in the Disney plus series Obi-Wan Kenobi releasing next year. The actor is finally making a comeback to the franchise after seventeen years,  and the production is ongoing and it might be the most anticipated show in the far away galaxy.

The face to face rematch of the century, the title hero and the Darth Vader is what has been promised through the projects so far and unfolds of the timeline between Episode III and IV.  McGregor’s love for the franchise is well-known and he isn’t just throwing around, in an interview he expressed that his memory likely magnified over the fact that it took him 20 years to share the same screen with the stormtroopers and this brought out the child in him in the process.

McGregor said

“I don’t think I’d be giving away a secret, I’ve got to be so careful. There’s no secret to when this series is being set, but I had to walk past two stormtroopers. I realized I’ve never acted with a stormtrooper because mine were clones, you know? It was the clone army. So I’d never seen a stormtrooper. So I was walking past them in this scene. I turned around, and I was six years old again”. And also said that “Insane. I was feeling like I’m so close to one and I got a fright, you know?  So crazy. Then I asked someone, ‘Were there stormtrooper in the films? Because I don’t think I’ve seen a stormtrooper for real before’. There were like ‘No, they weren’t stormtrooper; they were clones’. And jawas, I had another scene with a little Jawa.”
