During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Radcliffe explained why he’d love to take on these specific characters. “Those were always the two characters that I was like, ‘They’re great.’ And also, like, I’m obviously biased by my experience of filming those scenes with those people, and they’re like some of my favorite memories,” he said.

For those unfamiliar with the Harry Potter franchise, Remus and Sirius were both introduced in the third installment, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. They were best friends who became father figures to Harry after his own parents’ deaths. Radcliffe has fond memories of filming scenes with the actors who portrayed these characters, David Thewlis and Gary Oldman.
