Darth Vader’s Inquisitor Squads’ Involvement Teased In Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

Right now, if you want to watch a new Star Wars media, then your best option is Star Wars: The Bad Batch which is impressively holding fort on the Star Wars side of Disney+ and providing great content. But apart from this, there’s nothing much going on in the Star wars front. However, fans won’t have to wait for long since as a whole, 10+ projects are coming up.

But we should mention that a tonne of these are still in the development stage. One show that is deep into production right now is the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Disney definitely answered fan prayers last year when it announced that Ewan McGregor would return for a prequel series about his Jedi Master.

Currently, filming on this Disney+ Star Wars show is going on in the UK. Also, there have been glimpses of McGregor in his costume along with Imperial Officers, stormtroopers, and more. Some have even spotted Jawas on the sets. But that’s not all. It seems like there are other interesting Star Wars characters that viewers can expect to see in the new and upcoming Disney+ series.

Which New Characters Will Show Up In The Obi-Wan Kenobi Series?

Making Star Wars Editor-in-Chief Jason Ward has some surprises for fans. He has teased that there are a couple of upcoming characters that audiences will love seeing in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. As per Ward’s sources, Obi-Wan will be fighting with one of the Inquisitors sent by Darth Vader in at least one episode.

He said:

“In the series, Obi-Wan will fight at least one inquisitor. Lightsabers will clash and we will see Kenobi up against The Inquisitorius in at least an episode of the limited series. Will this vein run throughout many episodes or just occur in a single story? That I do not know for certain at this time and it would be conjecture on my part to state any further. But take it from me, empirically, the Imperial Inquisition is coming for old(ish) Ben.”

Fans of Jedi Fallen Order or Star Wars Rebels will know who these Inquisitors are. They are an elite group of Jedi hunters who report directly to Darth Vader. They have yet to make a live-action appearance. But if there was a show that was perfect for their appearance, then it’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Should You Trust This Rumour?

As always, we would advise you to take this rumour with a grain of salt. However, you should note that this isn’t the first time that we have heard of a rumour like this. Even previously, ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ was rumoured to have one episode at least that would show the Jedi Master fighting one Inquisitor.

To add fuel to these rumours, many previously theorized that Moses Ingram’s mysterious new Star Wars character was going to be an Inquisitor. Ingram had previously teased a video of her training with a lightsaber for the Kenobi series. As such, it’s possible that she is playing an Inquisitor or at least a character who Obi-Wan will fight. So sabers are bound to clash.

Since the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is set between the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope, so it makes sense that the Inquisitors will show up here. Also, since the Inquisitors are responsible for hunting the leftovers of Order 66, so it also makes sense that Kenobi will be at the top of their hunting list. As such, we cannot wait for the fighting to begin on the show.
