What Do Fans Think Of This Rumor/ Theory?

Patrick Stewart in an interview by Comicbook.com admitted that he was told to be on standby by Marvel Studios. However, he doesn’t know anything more than that. So while we don’t know the projects he will be appearing it, it easy to take calculated guesses. One big project he can appear in is “Avengers: Secret Wars.”

It’s touted to be a multiverse spanning movie where characters from Fox’s Marvel movies will appear. Till now, it has been rumored that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, and Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey will appear in the film. Since Charles Xavier is a powerful mutant so he can easily appear in the film and help the Avengers in their fight against Kang.

The other movie where he can appear is in “Deadpool 3.” In the beginning of “Logan,” Xavier and Wolverine have been living together with the latter taking care of the former. It’s said in the film that he accidentally killed off all the other mutants. So “Deadpool 3” could show us that event. However, the question is, it is even worth it?

For one, many fans feel that Deadpool isn’t the franchise that will be able to depict such an incident with the care and emotion it deserves. Also, it’s a scene that doesn’t need to be depicted in live-action. It’s something that’s more horrifying in the viewer’s imagination. Others feel that the idea of Fox’s X-Men dying to mark an end to that era before Marvel begins its X-Men franchise is a neat one.
