Streaming Home: Crunchyroll
Crunchyroll has announced that they have acquired the distribution rights to Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Swordsmith Village Arc. The streaming platform will exclusively premiere the series in North and South America, as well as Europe, on April 9, 2023. Episodes will be simulcast with their Japanese debuts in subtitled form.
Plot And Characters
Season 3 catches up with Tanjiro, who is on his way to the Swordsmith Village where he will meet two of the Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji and Muichiro Tokito. Tanjiro’s Nichirin sword was damaged during the climactic battle with Gyutaro in season 2, and only a handful of skilled swordsmiths can fix it. However, the swordsmith who made Tanjiro’s sword is a miserly fellow who won’t be pleased to see the sword in such dire shape. To make matters worse, a threat seems to be lurking just outside the village, and losing the swordsmiths could cost the Demon Slayer Corps everything.
Anticipation And Expectations
Demon Slayer has been a worldwide phenomenon, and the second season was a huge success, winning multiple awards. Fans have high expectations for season 3, and those who saw the first episode in theaters have indicated that it has lived up to the hype. With the official release date set, fans around the world can finally tune in to Crunchyroll on April 9, 2023, and decide for themselves if the series has lived up to the high bar it’s set for itself.
