Hints In Black Panther Wakanda Forever That Prove That Doctor Doom Is Set To Arrive In The MCU
The Marvel Studios framework grew significantly with Disney’s takeover of 20th Century Fox. It may take a while to introduce a number of the franchise’s most-awaited characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But that has not discouraged enthusiastic fans from making guesses about where and when they might appear. With a fresh Fantastic Four movie on the way, fans’ excitement naturally shifts to the introduction of one of the franchise’s biggest villains: Victor Von Doom, or Doctor Doom. With so much content to play with, the opportunities are truly limitless, and many speculated that Doom will appear in Marvel Studios’ upcoming film, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Obviously, that never happened. According to the film’s producer, Nate Moore, it was never seriously considered in the first place.
Black Panther 3
While Black Panther 3 remains to be formally announced, Wakanda Forever has presented a number of storyline opportunities. Doctor Doom becoming a prominent villain is undoubtedly one of them. With much of the hinting focusing on vibranium and its political ramifications. With nods to the legendary Doom-war saga and the introduction of significant new heroes like Riri Williams’ Ironheart, it’s not a leap to see Doom spearheading an attack on Wakanda.
Latveria
The screenwriters behind the scenes might use comparable similarities between Wakanda and the mythical Latveria, just as Talokan has strong parallels to Wakanda in the movie.
Another scenario that Wakanda Forever may have constructed is the death of Lake Bells’ Dr. Graham. Therefore, many fans wondered, “Who precisely does she work for?”
Sure, it may be Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Val, but one might think that the movie would have built a stronger, more obvious link between the two.
So, what if Doctor Doom sent Bell to find vibranium to bring back to Latveria? or, at the very least, sent by a member of Latveria.
Wakanda Forever Introduces The Midnight Angels
Princess Shuri’s design of the Midnight Angel armor is one of the most prominent hints for the MCU’s Doctor Doom. The “Midnight Angels” designation, which resembles the armor seen in Ta-Nehisi Coates’ 2016 Black Panther comics, was actually introduced in 2010’s Doomwar. The Midnight Angels were created as an advanced Dora Milaje division by King T’Challa himself, and their first mission was to assassinate Doctor Doom during his attack on Wakanda in the hunt for vibranium.
Riri Williams And Dr. Doom
Riri Williams debuted in the most recent Black Panther movie. She also happens to have a history with Doctor Doom.
In the comics, the Doom she encounters isn’t the exact one everyone is familiar with—this one has evolved into an evil Iron Man to fill the void created by Tony Stark’s disappearance at the moment.
If the characters are destined to cross paths, it will have originated in Wakanda Forever, due to Riri’s vibranium detector capturing the public’s attention.
Furthermore, the character’s standalone Disney+ series is supposed to centre on magic vs. technology, a storyline Doom would ideally fall into. The Fantastic Four figure might become yet another big MCU villain to make his digital premiere, following Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror in Loki.
