According to a report by insider Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic podcast, Ed Harris has been cast as Neal Saroyan, Simon Williams’ Hollywood agent, in the upcoming Wonder Man Disney+ series. Harris is known for his appearances in numerous notable movies, including The Truman Show, Apollo 13, and Top Gun: Maverick, and as the Man in Black in all four seasons of HBO’s Westworld.

Wonder Man is a Hollywood satire, and the hero is an actor-turned-superhero. Saroyan is often used in Marvel Comics as a tool to facilitate satire and commentary on Hollywood. The character is somewhat villainous, driven by publicity, and has even sent dangerous villains after Wonder Man to garner attention in the comics.

Reports previously claimed Marvel Studios was eyeing Better Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk for a key role in Wonder Man, which most assumed to be Saroyan.

It is unclear when Wonder Man will make its way to Disney+. The show is expected to be one of the slightly further out releases since it has yet to see a formal announcement. The MCU is said to be cutting back its annual Disney+ output, so several shows, including Daredevil: Born Again and Agatha: Coven of Chaos, probably won’t come until 2025.
