Edward Norton Almost Replaced Mark Ruffalo As The Hulk In The Marvel Cinematic Universe After Avengers: Endgame.

After Avengers: End Game, there was a possibility that Edward Norton could have replaced Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Norton had previously played the Hulk in the 2008 film, The Incredible Hulk, but was replaced by Ruffalo in subsequent MCU movies. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law director, Kat Coiro, revealed in an interview with The Direct that there were discussions about bringing Norton back for the role after Tim Roth reprised his role as Abomination in the Disney+ series. Although the idea was entertained, it did not come to pass.

Mark Ruffalo replaced Norton as the Hulk in the MCU and has been playing the role for several years now. However, in an interview at the Emerald City Comic-Com, Ruffalo admitted that his first interaction with Norton was awkward. Norton was reportedly relieved that Ruffalo would be taking over the role and the two actors have been on good terms ever since.

No Bad Blood Between Norton And Ruffalo

Despite the possibility of Norton returning to the role of Hulk, there is no bad blood between the two actors. Ruffalo clarified that the replacement was never an issue between him and Norton and that they are friends. Both actors brought different styles to the role of Hulk, and fans can’t wait to see what’s next for the Avenger.
