Sam Raimi, the director of Toby Maguire Spider-Man is now directing Marvel’s sequel to Doctor Strange, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. As if the title itself doesn’t pique the interests of Marvel fans, we know that the film is going to have an appalling storyline. This information has led us to believe that the film is going to be one of the most sensational projects of Phase 4.

The excitement for Doctor Strange 2 elevated after 2021’s WanvaVision and the development of Wanda Maximoff’s character. We now know that she’s going to be accompanying Strange in the film. Not to forget, the recent spectacular trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home and the Sorcerer Supreme’s role had us shift in our seats with eagerness. 

It seems like Marvel Cinematic Universe has already begun setting its foundation for upcoming Phase 4 projects. While the sequel is meant to release in March 2022, the events surfacing prior to it only take us further into the game. 

Scarlet Witch’s Elizabeth Olsen “Not Strange Anymore”

In a recent post on Instagram by Karen Bartek, she shared that the shoot for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been wrapped. Karen worked as a hairstylist on Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and WandaVision and now on the sequel of Doctor Strange. 

Benedict Wong, Doctor Strange’s apparent sorcerer sidekick mentioned that the sequel was being shot in London and was supposed to have been done with shooting in September.

From the photo shared by Karen, we can tell that it’s taken on set, supposedly in a makeup trailer, with the actress Elizabeth Olsen herself. 

Olsen has been super secretive about her role in the Doctor Strange sequel and the changes that Wanda’s character went through ever since she found out about it. We have seen the actress be downright throughout the production until only recently.

Elizabeth Olsen’s Mysterious Role In Doctor Strange Sequel 

Marvel Studios has a trademark of being tight-lipped about the movies and they ask the cast and crew to do the same. This is why seeing a member of the production crew slip a leak like this one after the shoot is wrapped is unusual. 

It is true that in the duration of the shoot of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, there have been small releases of information here and there, like the rumors about Fantastic Four and X-Men.

And yet, the way Marvel has managed to keep everything about the film a secret has fans wondering what spectacle could possibly be delivered by the franchise. 

Wanda And Dr. Strange In Marvel Universe

The Scarlet Witch’s remarkable advent has brought in a considerable amount of fascination, especially after how things ended for her in the Disney+ series WandaVision. 

While the direction of the prospects that Wanda’s role as the Scarlet Witch could take is unfathomable, what we know about Doctor Strange 2 is that her role would be quite huge. Probably as huge as Doctor Strange himself. 

This leads us to believe that her potential when it comes to Marvel Cinematic Universe is way beyond our imaginations, and the upcoming films could weave a story around Wanda Maximoff and Sorcerer Supreme’s individual universes to create something truly epic. 

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be out in the theaters on March 25, 2022.
