What would the Strange vs Scarlet Witch battle look like? In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen teases Scarlet Witch’s fight with Doctor Strange. A sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home will see Benedict Cumberbatch return to the MCU. However, he is joined by Wanda Maximoff, who has just returned from the Maximoff Anomaly.

Doctor Strange 2, starred Elizabeth Olsen as the sorceress. Back in 2019, Olsen was confirmed to star in the movie. After WandaVision, Wanda’s dark path was set in motion when she learned the truth about her identity as the Scarlet Witch. While she was in self-imposed exile, she studied the Darkhold, which makes her appearance in Sam Raimi’s Dr. Strange 2 all the more intriguing. As much as we don’t know about the relationship between the two magic users, it’s clear that they will eventually clash.

Olsen teases what to anticipate from Doctor Strange and Wanda’s interactions, including their fight scenes, in Empire Magazine’s feature for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In Avengers: Endgame, they both participated in the fight against Thanos. However, they never met. Or at least not on screen. Here’s what Olsen had to say in full:

“I really was excited to do dialogue with him. I really enjoyed our constant conversation, of analysis and trying to understand where both characters are coming from.”

Dr Strange and Wanda were originally meant to work together in Avengers: Endgame. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness gains a lot of tension and intrigue from the absence of this scene, which remains a mystery. It’s unfortunate that the two won’t be working together. Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange are expected to clash in the upcoming Marvel Studios film, with Scarlet Witch pointing out why she’s vilified for breaking the law, while Dr Strange is praised for doing the same thing. Even though Wanda appears to be fully embracing her villainous side, it’s unclear whether or not the film will see them team up against a greater threat.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has a lot to look forward to besides Wanda and Dr Strange’s dynamic. Included in this is Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez, which will be released soon. Patrick Stewart will be back as Professor X, and the Illuminati may make their MCU debut. Last but not least, the blockbuster will properly establish the multiverse concept in the MCU. As a prelude to Raimi’s film, No Way Home gave fans a glimpse into what Marvel Studios could do with this kind of storytelling freedom.
