Phase 4 of the MCU has introduced us to several new heroes and characters. These guys weren’t there during Captain America: Civil War. Watching their movies and shows it is pretty easy to understand their personality. However, the question remains which side would these characters have taken? Would they have been Team Captain America or Team Iron Man?
1. Shang-Chi – Team Iron Man
He would have definitely been Team Iron Man. Shang-Chi has seen how power can corrupt people and vehemently stood against his father. This means he would side with control and supervision to keep the supers in check.
2. Yelena Belova – Team Captain America
She would be Team Cap. Despite her sister initially being Team Iron Man she switched last minute and helped out Cap. Moreover, Yelena is already living outside the law and appears in the MCU as an antihero who currently works under The Contessa.
3. Doctor Strange – Team Captain America
Doctor Strange doesn’t have much respect for authority and definitely does not like taking orders. Even during Doctor Strange, he openly flaunted the Ancient One until she showed him his place. This means that Strange would definitely side with Cap as he would not trust the government.
4. Wong – Team Iron Man
The Sorcerer Supreme, Wong, on the other hand would side with Iron Man. He is known to be the responsible one who would rather make and keep peace by reaching a middle ground. In the MCU, Wong is shown to be a true leader who is approachable and trust worthy. All qualities that would lead him to avoid any sort of conflict.
5. Sylvie – Team Captain America
This Loki variant known as Sylvie is vehemently defiant and would never support an over-arching, authoritarian organization. In the MCU ever since she was a little girl, the TVA destroyed her timeline and she has been on the run all alone. She is used to depending on no one but herself. This makes her Team Cap all the way.
6. Fantastic Four – Team Iron Man
Although the Fantastic Four have not been introduced yet, they would definitely be Team Iron Man. Firstly, Mr. Fantastic has worked with Iron Man on multiple occasions in the comics and often collaborate on projects and inventions. More importantly, the Fantastic Four are a group that has closely worked with authority and would not want to cause any disruption.
7. Ms. Marvel – Team Iron Man
Kamala would be Team Iron Man all the way. After all, she is an ally of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Captain Marvel, both who have ties with the government. She also becomes acquainted with Nick Fury.
8. Moon Knight – Team Captain America
He would be Team Cap as the mercenary within him would not bow down to any piece of document in the world. After all, Moon Knight treads the line between hero and villain.
9. Ikaris – Team Iron Man
In the MCU’s Eternals, Ikaris showed his unwavering devotion to Arishem, the higher authority. He even killed Ajak for it. This indicates that he would be Team Iron Man. Moreover, he would most likely be the one to carry out the U.N’s orders and make Team Cap concede.
10. Sersi – Team Captain America
On the other hand, Sersi would be Team Cap. She openly defied Arishem’s orders and quite literally killed a celestial. Thus, she would not trust the government or any other overseeing organization.
11. America Chavez – Team Captain America
Chavez has often received the harsh end throughout her life and was even captured by The Illuminati while being literally hunted by Scarlet Witch. She was finally helped by Doctor Strange in her quest and would definitely be Team Cap.
12. She-Hulk – Team Iron Man
Firstly, Jen would not take part in the Civil War at all. But since every hero needs to make a decision, she would choose Team Iron Man. This is mainly because She-Hulk likes to fight bad guys within the constraints of law and order. She takes her fights to the court and wins them there.
