Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the highly anticipated Star Wars Disney+ projects. Even though it was initially conceived to be a movie, but later on it was reworked in a tv show after Solo flopped at the box office. As of now, we don’t know much about the plot of the show. All that is known till now is that it will take place a decade after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

However, we do know much more about the cast that’s part of the show. Apart from Ewan McGregor coming back as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Hayden Christensen too will be reprising his role as the Darth Vader/ Anakin Skywalker. Joining Ewan and Hayden are Joel Edgerton, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, Bonnie Piesse, Indira Varma, Sung Kang, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Benny Safdie, Maya Erskine, and Simone Kessell.

Now we don’t know much of what everyone is playing. But we know that Piesse and Edgerton will be reprising the roles of Aunt Beru Lars and Uncle Owen. So with so much mystery surrounding the show, fans are eagerly waiting for the show to begin shooting so that they can see the finished product on their screens soon.

Now, it looks like their prayers have been heard because Ewan McGregor has confirmed that Obi-Wan Kenobi has indeed begun shooting.

Ewan McGregor Confirms That Obi-Wan Kenobi Has Begun Shooting

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel in the show Jimmy Kimmel Live, McGregor confirmed that production has indeed begun on the Obi-Wan Kenobi project. He was originally on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show to talk about his Netflix project Halston. But he did drop this tidbit about the Disney+ show while also debuting the look for it.

Ewan McGregor Reveals His Obi-Wan Look For The Disney+ Show

As for the look, it isn’t that different from what Obi-Wan sported in Revenge of the Sith, but he has slightly more facial hair, and also his hair appears longer. So, assuming that McGregor will not be spending hours in the makeup chair for some other facial makeup, this is what he will most probably look like.

We must say that we agree with the facial hair and hair lengths. After all, it has just been a decade since the events of Star Wars Episode III. As such, his appearance is closer to that of his previous prequel look rather than that of Alec Guinness makes sense.

If you were hoping to get some plot details, then know that McGregor didn’t reveal much of that. However, he did say that he will be wearing more varieties of clothes than the last time he showed up in the Star Wars universe. Now, since Obi-Wan was in self-exile and in disguise on Tatooine after Revenge of the Sith, so it makes sense that he will be wearing different clothes to keep up the mirage. But what clothes will he be wearing? That remains to be seen.

Overall, fans will be satisfied with the fact that Obi-Wan Kenobi has at least begun shooting. Now, we need to wait to see the finished product. Hopefully, Disney will announce a release date soon for the show so that fans at least know how long they will have to wait.
