Rosario Dawson, the actress who played Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian Season 2, may have teased her character’s return in Season 3 through a recent Instagram post. Ahsoka, a fan-favorite character from the animated series The Clone Wars and Rebels, is set to have her own Disney+ spin-off later this year.

Dawson’s post features a video of herself at The Mandalorian Season 3 premiere, doing her “best [WonderSoka] impression,” and stating that she is “[jonesing] for the next Mando episode.” This could potentially point to her character’s return in the upcoming fourth episode.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, the creator of The Clone Wars and Ahsoka, are listed as the writers for next week’s Chapter 20 of The Mandalorian. Filoni has previously written for three episodes in the Mando-Verse, including “The Jedi” and “Chapter 6” of The Book of Boba Fett, both of which featured Ahsoka.

Ahsoka’s Return And The Mandalorian Spin-Offs

The Mandalorian has a history of keeping its major character appearances under wraps, such as Boba Fett’s return being confirmed only recently despite not being widely promoted. With Ahsoka’s own spin-off directly tied to The Mandalorian, her return to the show could potentially set up her solo adventures with the Rebels crew.

However, it is unclear how Ahsoka’s character will enter Season 3, especially since Grogu and his force-sensitive roots have not been as prominent this season. As The Mandalorian and its spin-offs are expected to culminate in a crossover event, it makes sense for Season 3 to expand the puzzle with links to its various spin-offs, including Ahsoka. The Mandalorian has already connected to Skeleton Crew with Episode 1’s Pirate King Gorian Shard set to serve as the villains, so it would not be surprising if there was a connection to Ahsoka as well.
