Fantastic Four In She-Hulk? The Thing Rumored To Make An Appearance

The rumor mill around Marvel movies is alive and well, and this time it has a whopper of a story to spread. The initial teaser for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law included the MCU debut of Frog-Man, but now there’s talk that someone from the Fantastic Four may make an appearance in future episodes of the series on Disney+. Who could this Marvel character be?

Fantastic Four Character In She-Hulk

A report from 4Chan, which was published on Reddit, stated the Thing would return in She-last Hulk’s three episodes beginning with Episode 8. What’s more, he’ll apparently be portrayed by actor Jason Segel who uses a motion capture suit.

This story should be taken with a large pinch of salt. Still, Jason Segel is a huge man and the Fantastic Four have a lengthy history of working with She-Hulk, so he may make a “good” Thing after all.

The Thing’s Role In She-Hulk

There’s talk that the character was supposed to make their first appearance in No Way Home. Ben Grimm will reportedly be involved in a legal battle over defamation as well as a battle against a supervillain team called the Wrecking Crew. It’s unclear if the Wrecking Crew is suing The Thing for defamation or if they’re just going to go at it in an orange rock hand fight.

She-Hulk Cameos

She-Hulk is not the only MCU series to include a speculated cameo from a member of the Fantastic Four. The Thing’s teammate Mister Fantastic, played by John Krasinski, was said to make an appearance in Doctor Strange 2 this year, and it turns out that this prediction was spot-on.

There have been rumors that Jessica Jones actor Krysten Ritter was in discussions to reprise the role for the show, but a recent She-Hulk leak has cast doubt on this speculation. Tim Roth, who played the Abomination in the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk, will reprise his role in the upcoming film She-Hulk.

Alongside Roth is Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk in the MCU and has joked about handing the mantle to Tatiana Maslany.

“Tatiana Maslany is frickin’ legendary as the She-Hulk. I’m passing the banner onto her… There’s some really good, funny, cool, long, long scenes between Professor and her. We’ve never really seen the Hulk interact with people the way he does in that show. It’ll be really interesting.”

Due to Daredevil’s previous appearance in the MCU in a fan-favorite sequence from NWH, this report of The Thing’s appearance in the MCU may carry a little more credence. There is no explanation given in the Reddit thread as to why Ben Grimm was meant to be a part of this film.

Needless to say, The Thing’s cameo is purely speculation at this point. However, the appearance of the orange rock monster on Disney+ shortly would not shock us.
