The MCU’s fourth phase involves savagely expanding the universe. Past Marvel TV series characters are making cameo appearances.
The introduction of these characters to the MCU has delighted fans. Daredevil, or more precisely, Matt Murdock, made the first significant appearance. Charlie Cox played this role in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Within the same week, Hawkeye’s ultimate nemesis Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, appeared in episodes 5 and 6. The reappearance of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, a pair who also made waves in this Netflix reality series, is the subject of current rumors.

Fans are speculating about Jessica Jones and Luke Cage’s MCU debuts in light of recent photographs of Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter.

The major question is if any more Marvel Television actors would follow after Marvel Studios integrated Netflix’s Daredevil cast into the MCU. There are two potential Daredevil or Echo candidates: Krysten Ritter, who portrayed Jessica Jones, and Mike Colter, who played Luke Cage, make guest appearances in Born Again.

Marvel fans are desperate for Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter to reprise their roles in the MCU on Netflix. It appears that a recent post has ignited a discussion on whether or not that may possibly occur.

Jessica Jones And Luke Cage Might Show Up In Born Again

In order to set up a team-up of such characters to create The Defenders, series like Jessica Jones, starring Krysten Ritter, and Luke Cage, starring Michael Colter, were presented alongside Daredevil in Marvel Entertainment’s armory. Nevertheless, the future of the character’s comeback remained in doubt once Marvel Studios acquired Marvel Entertainment.

But Ritter’s most recent Instagram story has generated speculation that Jessica Jones and Luke Cage may make their Marvel Studios debuts in the forthcoming Daredevil: Born Again.

On her Instagram story, Krysten Ritter of Jessica Jones shared images of herself with Mike Colter of Luke Cage.

Given that the two actors who play Luke Cage seem to be buddies, this isn’t the first time the actress has posted pictures of them together.

Yet every time a picture of the pair appears on social media, it prompts speculation about whether they are engaged in some sort of Marvel-related collaboration.

The Jessica Jones actor’s most recent photographs sparked the following comments from fans:

In response to Ritter’s images, @LaChicaMarvel posed the crucial query of whether the two will appear in Daredevil: Born Again, expressing:

“Jessica Jones and Luke Cage together again… will they be with the Punisher in ‘Daredevil Born Again’? Ayy is that if this happens it will be the best… I love it!”

Would Netflix’s Marvel Heroes Make A Comeback?

Both Colter and Ritter have indicated a desire to return to Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, even though Colter presently stars on Paramount+’s Evil and Ritter is currently filming Orphan Black: Echoes.

In a 2021 interview, Ritter expressed that she was willing to make further appearances in whatever capacity.

“I would absolutely just die to play Jessica again,” and “if there’s ever an opportunity for me to put on those boots, I will be there in a flash.” Colter, meanwhile, said Luke Cage is “in the rearview mirror at this point, If I get a call, something happens, great. I had a good time.”

Yet, it’s unlikely that Colter wouldn’t ultimately resume her role as Jessica Jones if Ritter were to do so.

That much is certain: Marvel Studios will be free to reimagine these characters for the MCU without being constrained by earlier creative choices. We’ll have to wait and watch to see whether these potential returns take place in the 18-episode Daredevil: Born Again.

It’s unclear if these images are implying that or something else completely.

So it’s safe to say that there are still prospects and aspirations for a Jones and Cage MCU reunion.

Spring 2024 will see the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+.
