The highly anticipated second season of Marvel Studios’ Loki has been surrounded by concerns regarding its release date, with delays for the MCU’s Phase 5 becoming more and more inevitable.

Initially set for a “Summer 2022” release, the window was eventually changed to “Coming Soon” by Marvel Studios. However, a recent rumor claims to have new information on the release date of Loki Season 2.

Release Date Update

Entertainment scooper KC Walsh of Geeks Worldwide shared that Loki Season 2 is rumored to be released on Disney+ in September of this year. This new claim aligns with comments made by Loki star Owen Wilson, who suggested a release date of “end of summer or September.”

Moreover, according to Walsh’s source, the Echo series is expected to have a November release, making it the next Marvel series to come out after Loki. The same source also claimed that Ironheart’s release has been pushed back to 2024.

September Release Date

The hype for Loki Season 2 has been building after Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania previewed what fans can expect, as Tom Hiddleston’s character explores how to defeat Kang’s Variants. A September premiere would make sense to avoid any further wait, especially since Ant-Man 3 already teased what’s to come in the second season.

Disney+ already confirmed that Secret Invasion will be the first Marvel series to release later this June. Secret Invasion will run for six episodes, ending on July 26, which will allow Ahsoka to take over in early August. This will potentially be followed by Loki at the tail end of September.
