Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.4 is kind of proving to be more of a challenge for Marvel Studios than Avengers 5. After the completion of the Infinity Saga, the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to evolve.

The MCU’s initial heroes included Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, and Captain America played by Chris Evans. Their contacts expired after Avengers: Endgame. The same could follow suit with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Given that the cast is now more popular than ever, their work schedules might clash. Thus, making a fourth could be a difficult task.

The Tale Of The Guardians

The 2014 release of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was unquestionably one of the most risky projects in the MCU’s history. Given the fact that, the world never knew who the Guardians Of The Galaxy were beforehand.

James Gunn was in charge of directing the film, which was the first time Marvel Studios introduced a brand-new superhero squad, one whose members had never been featured before.

Because most of its characters were obscure, with little to no brand recognition outside of comic book readers, it didn’t help.

Although the it was a box office success, the Guardians of the Galaxy actors were instantly adored by moviegoers. There’s no denying that Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, and Vin Diesel as Groot became household names. Also added to the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 were Nebula, played by Karen Gillan, and Mantis played by Pom Klementieff.

This iteration of the group will be concluded with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which has been significantly delayed. Gunn had confirmed this repeatedly. However, the filmmaker has suggested that there may be a few casualties and tragic turns in the story.

Drax the Destroyer’s last appearance will be in the next threequel, according to Bautista. Marvel Studios has a big challenge in continuing the MCU sub-franchise beyond the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4.

Some of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ newest recruits have already been introduced, and more will be revealed soon. This fact is that, however, it would be difficult for their galactic counterparts due to several factors.

The Bond That They Share

To begin with, the Guardians of the Galaxy have a deeper bond than the Avengers, making it more difficult to add new members to the group. It’s also tough to introduce new characters in other possible MCU projects since they’re cosmic heroes.

Marvel Studios is able to introduce new Avengers members one at a time, and then bring them all together at the end of the movie. With Guardians of the Galaxy, the studio does not have this luxury, making the future a real concern.

Marvel Studios, on the other hand, may decide to end the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise after the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Except for Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth. He is ready to embark on a fourth solo adventure in Thor: Love and Thunder. The MCU is famed for its trilogies.

Could Popularity Take The Story Further?

However, the popularity of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie means that the universe can’t just let them fade away. Since there is a way to extend the sub-franchise. While some characters will remain in the series, others will be introduced in the fourth film, much as they were introduced in Vol. 2 of the Guardians Movie.

Alternatively, a fresh future is laid for the galactic heroes of the franchise in the MCU. However, the most important thing is to make sure that fans are given the excitement by them as they were by their predecessors.

At the moment, Gunn’s only emphasis is on delivering a high-quality Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sequel. A great deal of pressure is on the film to succeed since it is the last instalment in a long-term cosmic plan.

It could be expected that Marvel Studios has already laid the basis for a fourth instalment of Guardians of the Galaxy, considering their long-term strategy. Marvel will face new obstacles than in Avengers 5 if the popular series is extended. Despite this, its continuation is quite likely.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.3 is set to premiere in theaters mid-2023. The Movie has an exciting cast too.
