The MCU concludes its Disney+ run in 2021 with Hawkeye, the most well-known character in the MCU. Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop are the protagonists of the sharpshooter series. The show follows their efforts to combat underground crime before Christmas.

Hawkeye’s solo project has been in the works for a long time. The six-episode series was officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. This was done after Marvel Studios had previously flipped between a feature film and a streaming series. As long as Hawkeye has been confirmed, many cast members had to keep their involvement a secret.

Despite many fans concluding that Hailee Steinfeld would be playing Kate Bishop, she remained mum about her role for months. Even though Steinfeld’s role in the film had been confirmed at the time, she was forced to keep a low profile when it came to plot details.

Hailee Steinfeld Enjoys the Premiere of Her New Movie, “Hawkeye.” On Hawkeye’s premiere day, Hailee Steinfeld took to Instagram to thank Marvel fans. On the first day of filming, Steinfeld shared a photo from the set, writing, “I can’t wait” for everyone to watch Hawkeye unfold:

Taken on the first day of filming following an overly excited freak out, similar to the one taking place as I type this. To the fans of the MCU, I’m so grateful I get to be a part of your world as Kate Bishop and I can’t wait for you to watch it all unfold.”

The most infamous word associated with Marvel Studios is secrecy. Kevin Feige and his team have ensured that actors are kept in the dark about plot details and character arcs. At the same time, they are kept in the dark about the heroes they’re portraying since 2008’s Iron Man as soon as Marvel Studios made it official that these A-list actors were part of their universe. Everyone from Benedict Cumberbatch to Oscar Isaac was forced to deny their involvement in MCU projects.

In Steinfeld’s case, casting was the same. Despite being Feige’s pick for Kate Bishop, Steinfeld’s response when asked about the role was “we’ll see” and “it would be cool.” Now that Hawkeye has arrived, Steinfeld is free to post (most) of her set pictures and stories. She may not reveal any plot details in this photo. However, it shows how excited she is to be part of a larger Marvel universe.
