In the beginning, Nick Fury approached Tony Stark to discuss the Initiative. Since then, the last-second cameo has become a mainstay of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Harry Styles will make an appearance in Eternals, which has been highly anticipated. As Hawkeye’s run draws to a close, could the shocking finale involve a blatant Phase Four villain… and Kate’s extended family?

Hawkeye Theory Revealed

Kate’s aunt may have been identified by TikTokker @maggiewgrace, who made some significant connections. Kate and Clint reside in her New York apartment while they plan their protection against the Tracksuit Mafia while she is out of town. As for Kate, she can be seen in front of a menorah in Episode 4. When you consider that Contessa Valentina, the Marvel villain putting together a team consisting of John Walker and Yelena Belova, is canonically Jewish, this doesn’t seem like a big deal.

Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop in Hawkeye

Could Valentina be Kate’s long-lost aunt? That would make her the Contessa del Lago, wouldn’t it? Even more, evidence points to Kate and Clint’s aunt being Jewish. A mezuzah, a parchment marked with Torah verses, is appended to the apartment’s doorway in Episode 2 when they first enter the building.

Is it possible that Hawkeye’s final two episodes will feature Valentina? Eleanor may have been talking to her on the phone. Or maybe she’ll make an appearance if only to reclaim her apartment from her niece’s clutches. It’s not just a matter of production design; some fans have heavily criticized Hawkeye’s Christmas theme. This is because of the Jewish roots of Marvel’s founders and because Hailee Steinfeld is Jewish. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who depicts Contessa Valentina, is of Jewish descent, and it’s worth mentioning that.

Christmas Or Hannukah?

The religious aspects of Christmas are ignored by Hawkeye, who instead focuses on the holiday’s materialism and cultural elements. However, acknowledging that Kate has Jewish ties could guarantee that more than one holiday is celebrated.

Hawkeye’s world and the MCU’s world are largely secular. Thor and Loki are the closest Marvel has to gods. However, the inclusion of a menorah and mezuzah reveals that this world idolizes more than just the Avengers. Furthermore, the presence of Christmas suggests some recognition of religion.

There are people in the MCU who find hope even in the darkest times is a good thing to know. It’s also nice to know that billions of people are doing the same, just like in real life. So maybe it’s also the key to Hawkeye’s most prominent cameo, which would be conveying something keeping in mind Yelena’s appearance.
