Fresh from the Hawkeye series, we witness another archer, Kate bishop played by Hailee Steinfeld who is still a superhero in the making, getting trained under our best archer since he first appeared in Thor, Hawkeye aka Clint Barton played by Jeremy Renner.
Kate Bishop is rumored to appear in other movies such as Ant-Man 3 and also Captain America 4.
Making her debut appearance in the Hawkeye series, who looked up to Hawkeye like a Star since the events of New York in Avengers, grew up fond of the bow and wanted to become at least close to her idol, Hawkeye. Years later, she tries her hand at Hero’s work at which she miraculously fails, but is proven to be a good shot.
Hawkeye comes in to save the day taking her like a sidekick, sharing a few tricks of the art with her. They both, successfully at the end of the series, fend off the army of Kingpin and stop his rampaging during the holiday season in New York.
Hailee Steinfeld, the actor of Kate Bishop was spotted on the sets of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania which leads us to think that Marvel is considering the future of this Character in the MCU.
There have also been a few rumors regarding her role in Captain America: New World Order. Her roles in both these movies could mean a lot of things and a possibility for future projects in the MCU.
Hailee Steinfeld was last spotted on the sets of Ant-Man 3 which supports the idea of a cameo role in the setting up for further MCU projects and new teams.
This was in a way foreshadowed, about how Hawkeye was using Pym Technology in his arrows and explaining some things to the young hero. This Cameo shows a possibility for a Young Avengers setup, and Kate Bishop ends up recruiting Stature aka Cassie Lang into the team.
She could also play a role in assisting the Ant family, keeping tabs outside while they are traversing the Quantum Realm. After understanding the dangers of the impending loom, she could get more incentive to form a group to battle threats on a larger scale just like the Avengers.
Following the events of Quantumania, Kate Bishop has another rumored role in Captain America 4. Gearing up for action, Kate Bishop could contact more Avengers like Hawkeye and the new Captain America and enlist their help in the creation of a new team to fend off threats on a larger scale, Young Avengers.
This further leads to the action of enlisting more heroes in the movies and series, to finally make a team and a project in MCU sometime later, when all the members have been introduced.
Young Avengers is the next generation of superheroes who have assisted The Avengers on several occasions such as Secret Invasion and even Civil War in the comics. The upcoming Secret Invasion series may also contain some sort of foreshadowing or easter eggs for the upcoming Young Avengers.
Knowing Marvel, and how they intricately set plotlines and leave plot holes for future series and movies, Marvel may as well have a Young Avengers project in consideration. As of now, there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding this, and only 3 Phase 6 movies have been revealed with the rest of the announcements saved for later so that fans do not end up being spoiled for any future Marvel projects released before these unannounced projects.
This addition would change the MCU drastically and affect the upcoming phases, whilst adding more superheroes and their origin stories in the mix. Most of the Young Avengers characters look like The Avenger’s counterparts in strengths as such. There are also a few X-Men and Kree who have yet to appear in the upcoming projects.
There have been floating rumors that X-Men won’t appear nor the production until 2025, so we may not see this project kickstarting till either phase 7 or 8. Ant-Man 3 is slated for a February 17, 2023 release date which will answer all our questions.
