Fan excitement shot through the roof when it was announced that Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars show Obi-Wan Kenobi.
However, some fans expressed sadness at the fact that the Kenobi show will be probably the only time they will get to see Hayden as Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader again.
Thankfully, they are wrong.
It has now been confirmed that Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role of Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader in the upcoming Ahsoka series as well.
Rosario Dawson is all set to star as the titular fan-favorite character of Ahsoka Tano. She is a Jedi Knight survivor who first appeared in the animated Star Wars series The Clone Wars. But she made her jump into live-action in the second season of The Mandalorian.
We don’t know much about the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, and we know even less about the Ahsoka show. However, right now, we know that Dave Filoni is writing the show as well as executive producing it along with Jon Favreau.
Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano
Hayden Christensen is known for playing Vader in the Star Wars prequel movies, and also in 2002’s Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and 2005’s Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
No one knows how Skywalker or Vader will fit into the Disney+ Ahsoka show that will be set 5 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. Thus, it will be before Vader’s death.
Anakin Skywalker as a Force Ghost
However, since Ahsoka was Anakin’s padawan, so it’s possible that the latter will show up in flashback scenes. After all, we are sure that the show will hark back to her apprenticeship days with Anakin Skywalker.
But, many sources are also speculating that the character could return as a Force Ghost. So which one will it be? Or will he be both? That’s left to be seen.
Production on the show will be starting in early 2022.
