2023 is finally here and the year brings the “Ahsoka” show with it. The hotly anticipated Star Wars show is  going to change not only how we view Ahsoka, but also how we see the Star Wars universe as a whole. Already, plenty of plot leaks are going around about the show. There are mentions of alternate events and time travel-esque scenes in those leaks. As a result, a new theory has emerged that links Ahsoka with Ben Solo and Rey Skywalker. The interesting speculation says that she could aid the two Sequel Trilogy characters in future Star Wars projects. How? Let us explain it to you.

The Regression Of Ahsoka’s Character Arc

Many fans noted that the Ahsoka we see in “The Mandalorian” season 2 and “The Book of Boba Fett” is quite different from the one we meet during “Star Wars: Clone Wars” and “Star Wars: Rebels.” First of all, she seems to be harboring little respect for Anakin Skywalker, her former master. Also, she pretty much outright condemns attachments like Mace Windu and Yoda did before her.

Additionally, she refuses to train Grogu because she fears that he might choose the path Anakin did. She also seems to have kept Luke Skywalker at a distance between the Trilogies. So she is emotionally detached from Anakin and his family.

Ahsoka would have been a more qualified Grandmaster than Luke was at the time and she would probably also have seen through Palpatine’s manipulation of Ben Solo since she saw how he corrupted Anakin. However, she doesn’t do anything because she undergoes a sort of character regression.

It’s interesting to note that this character regression of Ahsoka was actually prophesized during Clone Wars’ Mortis Arc. We see that Ahsoka is tempted in a dream by the future version of herself to abandon Anakin because there’s darkness within him. And she does seemingly abandon him because she has nothing to do with him as Vader, his kids, or even his grandchildren.

The only one she helps is Rey at the end, who Luke brings into the family. So now the theory says that there’s a big gap or responsibility that she has to fulfill in regards to Anakin’s family that she didn’t before. And she will do so thanks to the World Between Worlds.

How Will Our Titular Character Correct Her Mistakes?

As per leaks from Making Star Wars, the World Between Worlds will allow Ahsoka to see alternate events. For example, in one such scene she would be the one fighting Anakin on Mustafar instead of Obi-Wan Kenobi. So watching all the once-possible events might allow her to have a self-reflective moment that will make her understand just how detached and cold she has become.

As such, she could learn that her stigma to attachments actually did more harm than good to Anakin and later on, his family. As a result, Rey and Ben confronting Palpatine and then Ben ultimately dying in the battle could spur her into action and she could face Palpatine with Rey and Ben.

We all know that no one would have died in that fight if Ahsoka was there. As a result, Ahsoka will also be able to fulfill her promise to her former master by helping his descendants because she once said to him, “I won’t leave you. Not this time.” Alternatively, if she can’t be in the fight, then she could pull Ben Solo’s body into the the World Between Worlds and save him from death.

This way she could also bring things full circle because Anakin too saved her from death outside of space and time in Mortis. Also, this action of Ahsoka’s might answer why Ben isn’t a force ghost at the end of “Star Wars: The Return of Skywalker.” Later on, she can help Rey and Ben in future stories. This will ensure that the events of the Sequel Trilogy remain intact and Ahsoka can get a great character arc as well.
