It is not news for Superman fans that Warne Bros. appears to be moving on from Henry Cavill’s Superman version. However, DC fans are anxious for him to return as the Man of Steel. Conversely, most information points to Dwayne Johnson from the film Black Adam as Cavill’s biggest friend in the campaign to bring him back into the franchise.

The likelihood of Henry Cavill in Black Adam

The Rock has made it known for years that he desires a chance to fight with Henry Cavill’s Last Son of Krypton in the DCEU. It seems unlikely that it’s not going to happen in his first movie as Kahndaq’s ruler. Here, he will face off against Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman and the rest of the Justice Society of America. Nonetheless, this legendary showdown could be teased in Black Adam with Cavill possibly appearing as Kal-El to set up a bigger role.

According to Geekosity, Henry will reprise his role “after the end of Black Adam.” This suggests that he might appear in a post-credits scene. Furthermore, Superman will also reportedly be donning his black outfit which made its debut from Zack Snyder’s Justice League. A black-suited Superman taking on the Man in Black himself, Teth-Adam, would be a showdown unlike any other in the DCEU.

In Batman v Superman, Batman had to use Kryptonite to defeat Clark. Meanwhile, the whole Justice League was unable to capture the revived Superman. The hero may be powerful, but Adam has an era of experience and willpower on his side. Most importantly, it’s his franchise so there is no way he could be defeated. But for curiosity’s sake, if there ever were a Black Adam Vs. Superman, let’s have a look at who would win.

Superman’s strength level has shifted dramatically throughout the years. When he first appeared in Action Comics #1 in 1938, he had the ability to “jump 1/8th of a mile.” Moreover, his skin could be shattered by “nothing less than a bursting shell.”

On the other hand, the Superman of modern times has been first, observed lifting quintillions of pounds with just one hand. Second, flying so quickly that time seemed to go backward. And finally, ripping huge chunks out of reality. It’s hard to believe that Superman has a list of superhuman skills this long. Some of his lesser-known abilities include super-hypnosis, super-ventriloquism, and the ability to fire teeny copies of himself out of his hands.

The Power of Magic

Knowing that Superman is basically unbeatable, Black Adam could be a great opponent. Kryptonite is well-known to be Superman’s Achilles’ heel. However, he has a classic flaw that is often overlooked: magic. Magic is too powerful for Superman. It’s strange to consider, but the American mythological figure most often identified with invulnerability really has a very weak jaw when it comes to party clowns yanking coins from his ears.

In the early days, the Kryptonian showed some signs of being duped by sleight of hand. In Superman #14, the Man of Steel was hypnotized by evil fish people. When Superman and Mister Mxyzptlk had a face-to-face in Superman #171, the Metropolis Marvel realized that magic might harm him. “Too bad my invulnerability cannot protect me from magic or a sorcerer’s spell,” he lamented.

Adam has had his own share of growing pains throughout the years. To begin with, begin with as an ancient Egyptian corrupted by absolute power. And later, becoming an isolated anti-hero from the imaginary kingdom of Kahndaq. One thing about him has remained constant: he has magical abilities. Others are Greek, some are Egyptian, but all are intense. They were granted to him by the same magician that transformed Billy Batson into the World’s Mightiest Mortal.

When will Black Adam release?

Obviously, all of this is just conjecture, and we’re still years away from seeing Superman and Black Adam on the big screen together. Whatever the case may be, something very significant is in the making. Black Adam, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Noah Centineo, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan, will be released on the 29th of July, 2022.
