No one knows what will happen to DCEU’s Superman Henry Cavill. WB recently reported that it had recruited Ta-Nehisi Coates for writing a new Superman script after it declared plans for rebooting Superman. But Zack Snyder’s Justice League is highly anticipated as well. Many fans believe that if the movie is successful, then it could lead to Man of Steel 2 getting greenlit.

However, no one knows the real truth and until Cavill publicly comments about the speculations, there is no end to the rumours insight. But whether he is still Superman or not has no bearing on his career.

Cavill is a man with lots on his plate now. Right now he is shooting the newest season of The Witcher and perhaps gearing up for a new Mass Effect project.

But once Cavill is done with Geralt, fans will want to see where he goes next. However, according to film scooper Daniel Richtman, Cavill wants to be The Witcher for a long time. But the reason for this will surprise you a little.

Why Does Henry Cavill Want To Be On The Witcher For Long?

Daniel Richtman is claiming that Cavill wants to play the Geralt of Rivia for long because he believes it will help get him leverage when negotiating other projects with their developing studios.

“Cavill wants Witcher to last as long as possible [because] it’s such a huge hit, it will give him leverage in talks with other studios,” says Richtman.

Cavill’s plan does make sense. After all, The Witcher is a huge hit for Netflix and the streaming giant reportedly wants as many spin-offs as possible of it.

Is This Rumour True?

Sadly, like with everything else on the internet, this is just a rumour unless it’s confirmed by official sources. As for whether you can believe Daniel Richtman or not, that’s really up to you.

But we would like to remind you that Richtman recent said that Cavill was looking to get a better payment from Netflix since he believed that he wasn’t Superman anymore.

However, these are just two of the multiple Cavill-related scoops he has broken and the tricky thing is- we don’t know if any of it is true. After all, news about contract negotiations rarely come to the public eye. So it is possible that he is making things up, but then again he also could be scooping the right thing.

Yet, you should know that it’s not up to Cavill, but Netflix to determine just how long Cavill will get to play The Witcher. However, no matter what it’s clear that the show is going to go on for some more years at least. Netflix already finds it really profitable and that’s why it has greenlit a prequel already. So who knows, maybe Cavill’s dream of playing The Witcher for a long time will come true.
