Henry Cavill is the hottest topic of the town after he announced his exit as DCU’s Superman. This news came as a surprise to all because just a couple of months ago he declared that he was back as the man of steel after his cameo in Black Adam. But it looks like the star is already past all regrets as he is moving forward with making Warhammer 40K.

The Hollywood Reporter posted that Henry Cavill is going to executive produce and star in a series based on Warhammer 40,000. Along with the actor, Vertigo Entertainment is also going to executive produce. Amazon is almost all-set to get exclusive rights to the science-fiction miniature fantasy wargame.

THR reports that as of now no showrunners or even writers are attached. Henry Cavill has been a self-proclaimed fan of the game and has even admitted to painting the mini figures. However, THR reports that this isn’t the next project for Cavill as the deal hasn’t been closed yet at all.

For the uninitiated, Warhammer features miniature figures that one can move around on a battlefield world. It was launched in 1987 by Games Workshop and since then it has grown and captured audience attention. The “40K” part in the name of the game indicates the number of years it is set in the future.

The backstory of Warhammer 40,000 is that human civilization is at a stalemate and at war with magical beings and aliens. Also, there are demons and gods in this fantasy world. So it’s quite like Dungeons and Dragons.

Is The Actor’s DC Future Over?

Fans can’t quite believe that the actor won’t be DCU’s Superman especially after he and Dwayne Johnson announced it to so much fanfare. However, latest tweets by new DC CEO, James Gunn, has cemented the fact that he is penning down a Superman story that involves a younger Clark Kent. And as a result, Cavill can’t be part of the cast anymore.

However, rumors state that Henry Cavill isn’t the only one to depart the DCU. As per speculations, all the Synderverse Justice League cast will bid adieu to the new DCU as James Gunn prepares for a complete reboot. This was reportedly hinted at in The Hollywood Reporter article when they published that Wonder Woman 3 was getting shelved.

But there are rumors that actors like Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, and others will get to reprise their roles in a “Crisis on Infinite Earths” project that will happen down the line. Whether that actually happens or not remains to be seen.

Stay tuned for more updates.
