Infinity War was released in 2018. Thereon its direct sequel, Avengers: Endgame, serves as the second half of its tale. It was decided that the film would be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.

Meanwhile, the story was written by Stephen Markus and Christopher McFeely. Avengers: Infinity War became the first superhero movie to earn over $2 billion at the global box office and earned generally positive reviews from critics. According to Empire Magazine, this is the best Marvel has to offer. However, it doesn’t mean there aren’t people who don’t like it.

When it comes to setting up the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War did an excellent job. This even includes the heroes’ defeat. As a result of a separation between Captain America and Iron Man over the Sokovia Agreement and Bucky Barnes’ involvement in the killing of Tony Stark’s parents, the film takes place two years later.

Thanos And Gamora's Extended Confrontation

Two of the four Infinity Stones on Earth, with Doctor Strange and Vision owning the Time and Mind Stones, respectively, provided Thanos with the perfect opportunity to attack. While the Avengers and other superheroes worked together to save half of the universe, the Mad Titan achieved his goal of balancing the universe by destroying half of all life.

For Marvel Studios, Avengers: Infinity War was one of their most successful films to date. According to its impact on the MCU, many fans consider it one of the best flicks. Fans’ reactions to Empire Magazine’s contention are naturally mixed. So, we’ll take a look at why it was given the honour. Furthermore, whether or not it’s indeed the best MCU movie.

Avengers: Infinity War Won The Best Marvel Film Award

Empire Magazine just compiled the 100 greatest films of all time. Movies that have “classic movies that have stood the test of time, to contemporary works that changed the game – offer heartwarming comfort, iconic scares, big laughs, and pulse-pounding suspense, becoming firm audience favourites and garnering critical acclaim.” When it came to determining which movies made the cut and where they ended up, both Empire Magazine subscribers and cinephiles were involved in the process.

Marvel Studios topped the current crop of popular comic book movies. This was with Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Endgame, and Avengers: Infinity War occupying the top five spots. As for non-MCU superhero films like Logan and The Dark Knight came in at 91 and 4, respectively.

Empire Magazine’s list was based on a set of criteria. It was decided based on their impact on popular culture and filmmaking in broad. “The biggest crossover event in cinematic history” is how a news agency called Avengers: Infinity War in a quick synopsis for the film.

A cliffhanger ending where Thanos managed to beat the Avengers and carry out the snap just in time was also recognized as a noteworthy aspect of the film’s final act. All in all, Empire Magazine was impressed by Infinity War. They were for its lightning-fast pace and well-balanced plot in the face of such a large cast.

How is Avengers: Infinity War The Best MCU Movie Ever?

Avengers: Infinity War’s high position on Empire Magazine’s ranking made sense based on their standards. If that wasn’t enough, it’s the first time in film history that the Avengers and other Marvel heroes have come face-to-face. When it comes to making the film, it’s an understatement to say it was challenging and stressful.

Additionally, it had to introduce Thanos properly, which was a significant undertaking. In Avengers: Infinity War, the Mad Titan was given a proper debut to the MCU. Ultimately, Marvel Studios was able to carry off the feat. Furthermore, they succeeded in making Thanos become one of the best villains in the MCU, if not the best.

Doctor Strange In Infinity War

It was inevitable that Avengers: Infinity War would be compared to its sequel. It’s been questioned whether or not Avengers: Infinity War should be ranked higher than its sequel. While it’s true that if the 2018 blockbuster had failed, Avengers: Endgame would have had a far harder time finding its audience. Endgame’s story arc was built up by its predecessor.

This happened even though it was supposed to be two independent stories. A lack of faith in Thanos and his plan, as well as a mishandled Snap, may have made Avengers: Endgame feels less cathartic and more fulfilling. It’s impossible to dispute the film’s influence even if you don’t follow the MCU. Several scenes from Infinity War have gone viral and become instantly recognizable.

Even though the MCU has moved on from the Infinity Saga, it remains a popular topic of conversation among fans. As a case in point, the Avengers’ defeat until now has sparked debate about who is to blame.

There are a lot of movies out there that are fan favourites. At the same time, some might argue that they are better than the ones on Empire Magazine’s list. It all comes down to personal preference.
